Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection Roars with New Trailer and Fresh Details at TGS 2025

Capcom used this year’s Tokyo Game Show to pull back the curtain on Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, unveiling fresh gameplay footage and new story details straight from director Kenji Oguro.

This new chapter in the turn-based spin-off unfolds amid an environmental crisis that’s pushing the kingdoms of Azuria and Vermeil to the brink. You play as a Ranger investigating the mysterious Egg Quartz that appears alongside a phenomenon known as the Crystal Encroachment. Along the way, you’ll encounter creatures like Chatacabra and Rey Dau, work to protect endangered monster species, and help repair fragile ecosystems across a vast, explorable world.

Exploration takes center stage with Riding Actions that let you scale cliffs and soar through the skies on the backs of your Monsties. Those same Riding Actions carry into battles, enabling special opening attacks that tip the odds in your favor. Combat leans into deeper strategy than before, including the ability to build toward the Synchro Rush—an all-party assault that unleashes massive damage when timed right. With bigger adventures and layered tactics, riding and battling with Monsties promises more thrills than ever.

Key highlights fans should know:
– A new story set between rival kingdoms Azuria and Vermeil amid the Crystal Encroachment
– Ranger-led investigations into the enigmatic Egg Quartz
– Encounters with new and returning monsters, including Chatacabra and Rey Dau
– Free-roaming exploration with climbing and flying via Riding Actions
– Strategic combat enhancements culminating in the powerful Synchro Rush party attack

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection launches March 13, 2026 for Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and Nintendo’s next-gen Switch 2.
