Xiaomi’s Poco F8 Set for Global Debut as Rumored Powerhouse Specs Generate Buzz

Poco F8 tipped to launch globally and in India with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 power and faster charging

A true successor to the Poco F7 is on the way. According to tipster Yadav, the Poco F8 is being readied for both global and Indian releases and is expected to move up to one of Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 series chipsets.

If you want an early preview, keep an eye on the Redmi K90. Yadav claims the K90 will debut in China alongside the Redmi K90 Pro before the end of the year. The higher-end K90 Pro is rumored to adopt Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while the Poco F8 is said to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5—a notable step up from the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 used in the Poco F7.

Model numbers add weight to the leak. The Redmi K90 is reportedly tagged as 2510DRK44C for China, with 2510DRK44G and 2510DRK44I assigned to the Poco F8’s global and Indian variants. All are linked by the internal codename “annibale.” If the cadence holds, the K90 could arrive as soon as next month in China, potentially giving fans a first look at the hardware direction before the Poco F8’s international rollout.

Charging speeds are also set for an upgrade. Both the Redmi K90 and Poco F8 are expected to support 100 W wired charging—up from the Poco F7’s 90 W, roughly a 9% bump that should shave time off top-ups. That’s on top of the performance gains anticipated from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform.

The Poco F7 launched in June, following the earlier arrivals of the Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra. While the timeline for the Poco F8’s availability outside China remains unclear, all signs point to Xiaomi preparing a wide release strategy for its next value flagship. If the leaks pan out, expect a faster-charging, more powerful Poco F8 aimed squarely at users who want top-tier Snapdragon performance without the usual flagship price tag.
