Momentum Unveils Long-Range Commuter E-Bike With Cruise Control for Effortless City Rides

Momentum Vida E+ EX Launches as a Cheaper Commuter E-Bike With Cruise Control and 55-Mile Range

Momentum has introduced its latest commuter electric bike, the Vida E+ EX, bringing a more practical and feature-rich option to riders looking for an everyday e-bike for city travel, errands, and relaxed weekend rides. The new model arrives as the successor to the previous Vida E+, keeping much of the same core hardware while adding a few useful upgrades that make it more convenient for daily commuting.

One of the biggest highlights of the Momentum Vida E+ EX is its SyncDrive Move S motor. The 500 W motor delivers 60 Nm of torque, giving riders enough power for quick starts, steady acceleration, and confident hill climbing. The e-bike offers a top assisted speed of up to 20 mph, making it well-suited for urban commutes, bike lanes, and neighborhood riding.

Power comes from a 700 Wh battery, the same capacity found in the earlier model. Momentum says the Vida E+ EX can travel up to 55 miles on pedal assist, while throttle-assisted riding offers up to 43 miles of range. That makes it a strong option for riders who want an electric commuter bike that can handle multiple trips before needing a recharge.

For this updated version, Momentum has added a new cruise mode. This feature allows the e-bike to maintain a set speed, reducing rider fatigue during longer stretches of road. It is a particularly helpful addition for commuters who travel on predictable routes or spend extended time riding at a consistent pace.

Another major convenience feature is the “0-Start” throttle. With this system, riders can accelerate without pedaling first. It works more like a motorcycle-style accelerator, allowing the bike to move from a complete stop using throttle power alone. This can be especially useful at traffic lights, on inclines, or when carrying cargo.

The Vida E+ EX is built with comfort and control in mind. It rides on wide 26 x 2.4-inch tires, which should help provide stability and grip across city streets, uneven pavement, and light gravel paths. Braking power comes from 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear, giving the bike stronger stopping performance and better control in busy commuting conditions.

A handlebar-mounted LCD display provides key riding details at a glance. Riders can check speed, battery level, lighting status, and other essential information while on the move. The e-bike also supports app-based controls, adding another layer of customization and convenience.

Momentum has also included several commuter-friendly features, such as a Vida e-lock, a torque sensor for smoother pedal assistance, and 48 V 3 A fast charging support. The bike is UL-2849 certified, which adds reassurance for riders concerned about electric bike battery and system safety.

The Vida E+ EX is compatible with a wide range of accessories, making it easy to customize for daily use. Riders can add items such as fenders, pannier bags, cargo straps, a rearview mirror, and front or rear shocks. This flexibility helps turn the bike into a practical transportation tool for groceries, work bags, and everyday cargo.

Momentum offers the Vida E+ EX in three color options: Abyss Black, Pale Olive, and Caramel Cinnamon. The new commuter e-bike is priced at $1,985, making it $495 less expensive than the previous Vida E+, which launched at $2,480.

With its long-range battery, throttle support, cruise mode, hydraulic brakes, and lower price, the Momentum Vida E+ EX looks like a strong choice for riders searching for an affordable electric commuter bike with modern convenience features. It keeps the proven foundation of the original Vida E+ while adding upgrades that make daily riding easier and more enjoyable.
