Minix N304-AI Mini PC Debuts With Intel Wildcat Lake, 16GB RAM, and AI-Focused Performance
Minix has unveiled the N304-AI, a new compact desktop designed for users who want an affordable mini PC with modern Intel hardware, efficient performance, and built-in AI capabilities. The system is based on Intel’s Wildcat Lake platform and uses the Core 3 304 processor, an entry-level chip aimed at everyday computing, productivity, media use, and light AI workloads.
At the heart of the Minix N304-AI is the Intel Core 3 304, which features a 5-core CPU configuration. While it is not positioned as a high-end processor, it should offer enough performance for common daily tasks such as web browsing, office work, video streaming, multitasking, and lightweight creative applications. The chip is also paired with Intel Xe3 integrated graphics, giving the mini PC basic graphics support without the need for a dedicated GPU.
One of the key selling points of the N304-AI is its AI capability. Minix says the system delivers up to 24 TOPS of rated AI performance, allowing it to handle a variety of AI-assisted tasks. This could make the mini PC appealing for users interested in local AI features, smart productivity tools, AI-enhanced apps, and future software that takes advantage of dedicated AI acceleration.
The mini PC comes with 16GB of LPDDR5X memory, which should help provide smooth performance for multitasking and general use. Minix also plans to offer a version equipped with a 512GB PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD. The storage is expected to be upgradeable, giving users the flexibility to expand capacity later if they need more room for apps, documents, media, or work files.
Connectivity is another strong point for the Minix N304-AI. The mini PC includes a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and two Gigabit Ethernet ports. This setup makes it suitable for dual-display workstations, home office setups, digital signage, compact business PCs, or lightweight server-style use where wired networking is important.
Wireless connectivity is also included, with support for WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. That means users can expect faster wireless networking, improved stability, and better compatibility with modern peripherals such as keyboards, mice, headphones, speakers, and controllers.
Based on the early promotional images, the N304-AI features a slim and minimal chassis. Its compact design should make it easy to place on a desk, behind a monitor, in a media center, or in a small workspace where a full-size desktop tower would be impractical.
Minix has not yet announced official pricing or availability for the N304-AI. However, given its entry-level Intel Core 3 processor, compact design, 16GB of memory, and AI-focused branding, the device is likely to target buyers looking for a budget-friendly mini PC with modern features.
With Intel Wildcat Lake, upgradeable SSD storage, dual Ethernet, WiFi 6, and support for multiple displays, the Minix N304-AI could become an attractive option for users who need a small, efficient, and affordable desktop for everyday computing and AI-ready applications.
