Minisforum M2 Air mini PC launches globally with Intel Core 3 304 and support for up to 64GB RAM
Minisforum has officially made its new M2 Air mini PC available worldwide, giving buyers a compact desktop option built around Intel’s Core 3 304 processor from the Wildcat Lake family. The system is aimed at users who want a small, efficient PC for everyday computing, office work, media streaming, light productivity, and space-saving desk setups.
In the United States, the Minisforum M2 Air currently starts at $263, with the company presenting that price as a discount from its listed $329 MSRP. Pricing varies by region, with the mini PC starting at AUD 405.90 in Australia, CAD 360 in Canada, €279 in the Eurozone, and £239 in the United Kingdom.
Those entry-level prices apply to the barebones version of the M2 Air. That means buyers get the mini PC chassis and processor, but they will need to add their own memory and storage before the system is ready to use. For users who prefer customizing their setup, this could be one of the more appealing parts of the M2 Air.
The mini PC includes dual SODIMM slots and supports up to 64GB of DDR5-6400 RAM. Storage is handled through a single M.2 2280 slot, with support for PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD speeds. This gives the M2 Air enough flexibility for users who want a budget-friendly system now but may plan to upgrade memory or storage later.
For buyers who do not want to source components separately, Minisforum is also offering a pre-configured M2 Air model with 16GB of RAM and a 500GB SSD. At the time of writing, this ready-to-use configuration is listed at €599 in the Eurozone and £509 in the UK. However, pre-configured models do not appear to be available yet in Australia or Canada.
Pre-orders for the Minisforum M2 Air are expected to begin shipping in mid-September. With its compact design, modern DDR5 memory support, PCIe 4.0 SSD compatibility, and competitive starting price, the M2 Air could be an attractive choice for anyone looking for a small desktop PC without taking up much space.
