Microsoft’s latest endeavor aims to centralize this process, enabling both its own and third-party applications to be managed from one platform.
Dubbed the Windows Update Orchestration Platform, this new tool allows users to access all their app updates from a single location, eliminating the need for separate downloads. A private preview is now available for developers interested in exploring this cohesive approach, which aims to minimize the complexities of independent app management.
Microsoft’s release of this platform addresses several key issues, including CPU and bandwidth spikes, confused notifications, and increased support costs. The revamped Windows Update stack is designed not only to provide users with a unified update hub but also to offer significant advantages to app developers.
