Mechrevo 14 Max Carbon launches as a lightweight MacBook Air alternative with Intel Lunar Lake power
Mechrevo has introduced the 14 Max Carbon in China, a slim and lightweight laptop designed to compete with premium ultraportables such as the MacBook Air. The new model stands out with Intel’s latest Lunar Lake processors, an OLED display, a large battery, and an impressively light carbon-style build.
The laptop is available in two processor options. The entry-level configuration features the Intel Core Ultra 5 226V, while the higher-end version uses the Intel Core Ultra 7 256V. The Core Ultra 7 model also includes Intel Arc 140V integrated graphics, giving it stronger visual performance for everyday creative work, media playback, and light gaming.
Although these Intel chips are not positioned to outperform Apple’s newest M-series processors in raw performance, Mechrevo is focusing heavily on portability. The 14 Max Carbon weighs around 2.08 pounds, making it lighter than the 13-inch MacBook Air. It is slightly thicker, however, with the chassis measuring as thin as 14.9 mm.
Battery life is another major selling point. Despite its thin and light design, the Mechrevo 14 Max Carbon packs a 72Wh battery. Combined with the power-efficient Intel Lunar Lake platform, the company claims the laptop can deliver more than 21 hours of use on a single charge. That makes it a strong option for students, business users, frequent travelers, and anyone who needs an all-day laptop without carrying a charger everywhere.
The display is also a highlight. Mechrevo has equipped the laptop with a 14-inch OLED panel featuring a sharp 2880 x 1800 resolution. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, reaches up to 500 nits of brightness, and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. This combination should make the device appealing for users who want vibrant colors, smooth scrolling, and crisp visuals for productivity, streaming, photo editing, and general entertainment.
To keep performance stable, the 14 Max Carbon includes a dual-fan cooling system. For connectivity, it comes with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, offering fast data transfer and support for external displays and accessories. The laptop also features a large 5.7-inch trackpad and a backlit keyboard with 1.5 mm of key travel, which should help improve comfort during long typing sessions.
Both versions of the Mechrevo 14 Max Carbon include 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD as standard. The Core Ultra 5 226V model is priced at CNY 6,299, which is roughly $943. The more powerful Core Ultra 7 256V version costs CNY 6,699, or about $1,003.
With its lightweight body, OLED screen, long battery life claim, Intel Lunar Lake hardware, and competitive pricing, the Mechrevo 14 Max Carbon could be an attractive choice for buyers looking for a premium Windows ultrabook that prioritizes portability without sacrificing display quality or everyday performance.
