Lenovo Unveils Legion Y960 Gaming Headset Alongside Its Latest Gaming Tablets

Lenovo is about to expand its Legion gaming lineup again, and this time it’s not just about new tablets and a refreshed phone. The company has confirmed that a brand-new gaming headset, called the Lenovo Legion Y960, will debut at its upcoming launch event in China on May 19, 2026.

The May event is already set to be a big one for Lenovo fans, with the company preparing to introduce two Legion Y900 gaming tablets alongside an updated Legion gaming phone. The phone launch is especially notable, as it marks a return to the Legion phone line years after the 2022-era Legion Y70. Now, Lenovo has added another product to the mix: the Legion Y960 headset.

While Lenovo hasn’t fully detailed the specs yet, the teaser strongly suggests the Legion Y960 is a wireless gaming headset. The company is positioning it around immersive sound, describing it as a “physical 7.1-channel” headset. That wording implies Lenovo is aiming for a more cinematic, surround-style audio experience designed to help players pick up directional cues in games while also making action scenes feel larger and more engaging.

Lenovo also highlights something it calls “patented six-unit voiceprint perspective,” which appears to be focused on how the headset reproduces voices—likely improving vocal clarity for in-game dialogue, chat, and story-driven moments where speech detail matters.

From the teaser image, the Legion Y960 features a bold gaming look with the Legion logo on the earcups. Lenovo also confirms a multi-driver setup that includes one 40mm driver plus two 20mm drivers, suggesting a design intended to separate different parts of the audio range for richer, more layered sound.

Comfort also seems to be part of the plan. The promotional image hints at plush earcup padding, and Lenovo notes an adjustable headband design to help with long gaming sessions.

More details about the Lenovo Legion Y960 are expected as the May 19, 2026 launch date gets closer, when Lenovo will likely share full specifications, features, and pricing for the headset alongside its new Legion gaming tablets and updated gaming phone.
