Lenovo’s Legion Y900 13 Makes the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra Look Outmatched

Lenovo Legion Y900 13 Debuts as a Powerful 13-Inch Android Tablet Built for Work and Play

Lenovo has introduced the Legion Y900 13, a large-screen Android tablet that brings flagship-level performance, a sharp high-refresh display, and a massive battery into a slim productivity-focused design. Although it carries the Legion branding, which is usually associated with gaming, this new model is aimed more at users who want a premium tablet for multitasking, note-taking, drawing, document editing, and entertainment.

For now, the Lenovo Legion Y900 13 is available only in China.

The tablet arrives alongside other new Legion devices, including the smaller Legion Y900 11 and the previously launched Legion Y700 Gen 5. While the compact Legion Y700 line is more clearly targeted at mobile gamers, the 13-inch Legion Y900 is positioned as a serious work companion. That said, its hardware is powerful enough to handle demanding games as well.

The standout feature of the Lenovo Legion Y900 13 is its large 13-inch display. It uses a high-resolution 3840 x 2560 panel with a productivity-friendly 3:2 aspect ratio, giving users more vertical space for reading, writing, browsing, and working with documents. The screen also supports a 144Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and animations, a 360Hz touch sampling rate for responsive input, and up to 1,100 nits of peak brightness.

Dolby Vision support is included too, making the tablet suitable for watching movies, streaming shows, and viewing HDR content with richer contrast and color.

Under the hood, Lenovo has equipped the Legion Y900 13 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. This puts the tablet in flagship territory and should provide strong performance for productivity apps, multitasking, creative tools, and gaming. The chip is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.

A microSD card slot is also available, allowing users to expand storage by up to 2TB. That is a welcome feature for anyone who works with large files, downloads lots of media, or wants to keep games, documents, videos, and creative projects stored locally.

For cameras, the Lenovo Legion Y900 13 includes a dual rear setup with a 13MP main camera and a 2MP secondary camera. On the front, it has an 8MP camera joined by a 3MP secondary sensor, which should be useful for video calls, online meetings, and remote classes.

The rear camera area also features Lenovo’s customizable Legion Halo RGB light. This small touch adds some gaming-style personality to an otherwise productivity-focused device.

Lenovo is also offering stylus support for the Legion Y900 13. The optional pen supports 8,192 levels of pressure sensitivity, has a claimed latency of just 0.1ms, and uses a 1.4mm nib. The top of the stylus includes a button that can function as a digital eraser or a tool for switching pen modes.

The stylus attaches magnetically to the top of the tablet, where it also charges. This makes it more convenient for users who plan to take handwritten notes, sketch, annotate documents, or work on creative projects.

To push the productivity angle even further, Lenovo has designed an optional keyboard accessory for the Legion Y900 13. When attached, it turns the tablet into a more laptop-like device. The keyboard includes 1.5mm key travel, 16mm keycaps, RGB backlighting, and a built-in trackpad.

With the keyboard and stylus, the Lenovo Legion Y900 13 becomes more than just a media tablet. It can be used for meeting notes, office documents, emails, presentations, drawing, studying, and general multitasking. Lenovo also says the tablet comes with Goodnotes preinstalled, making it ready for digital note-taking out of the box.

Battery life is another major highlight. The Legion Y900 13 packs a large 12,700mAh battery and supports 68W fast charging. That gives it a bigger battery and faster charging than some competing premium tablets. For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra has a larger 14.6-inch screen but uses an 11,600mAh battery with 45W charging.

Audio should also be a strong point. Lenovo has fitted the tablet with a six-speaker system tuned by Harman/Kardon, along with Dolby Atmos support. This should make the device better suited for movies, music, games, and video calls.

Despite the large display and big battery, the Lenovo Legion Y900 13 is relatively slim. It measures 5.99mm thick and weighs 599 grams, making it portable enough for everyday use, travel, school, or work.

The tablet is available in three color options: Carbon Black, Ice Soul White, and Star Light Purple.

In China, pricing starts at ¥3,799, which is approximately $557 or €480, for the model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version is priced at ¥4,199, around $616 or €532. The top model with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage costs ¥4,699, roughly $690 or €594.

Lenovo is also offering keyboard bundle versions for the 12GB and 16GB RAM configurations at higher prices.

With its large 3:2 display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, expandable storage, stylus support, optional keyboard, large battery, and premium speaker setup, the Lenovo Legion Y900 13 looks like one of the more interesting Android tablets in its class. It may carry the Legion name, but this device is clearly designed for users who want a tablet that can shift easily between work, creativity, entertainment, and gaming.
