Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra leak points to a familiar big-screen premium tablet
Samsung’s next flagship Android tablet is already starting to take shape through early leaks, and the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra could once again be aimed at users who want a massive display, long battery life, and high-end performance.
The Galaxy Tab S series is Samsung’s premium tablet family, designed to compete at the top of the Android tablet market. The current Galaxy Tab S11 lineup arrived in September 2025 with two models: the Galaxy Tab S11 and the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. However, the next generation may look slightly different.
According to earlier reports, Samsung may skip the regular Galaxy Tab S12 model and focus instead on two larger versions: the Galaxy Tab S12+ and the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra. These tablets are said to carry the model numbers SM-X846 and SM-X946.
A newer leak now offers more details about the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, suggesting that Samsung may not make major changes to some of its core hardware. The upcoming Ultra model is expected to keep a battery capacity similar to the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, which features an 11,600mAh battery. That would make sense for a large-screen tablet built for productivity, streaming, gaming, drawing, and multitasking.
Charging may also remain the same, with the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra rumored to support 45W fast charging. While that may not be a dramatic upgrade, 45W charging is still useful for a device with such a large battery, especially for users who rely on their tablet throughout the day.
The display could also stay familiar. The leak claims that Samsung may keep the same 14.6-inch screen size found on the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. If accurate, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will continue to be one of the largest premium Android tablets available, making it a strong option for users who want a laptop-like experience in a tablet form factor.
Performance may be one of the more interesting areas to watch. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is rumored to use a flagship MediaTek Dimensity chip, possibly the Dimensity 9500. If Samsung chooses this processor, the tablet could deliver strong performance for demanding apps, high-resolution media editing, gaming, and multitasking with Samsung DeX.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Tab S12 series around September 2026, following the release pattern of the previous generation. Still, all of these details are based on leaks, so the final specifications may change before the official announcement.
For now, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra appears to be shaping up as a refined upgrade rather than a complete redesign. With a huge 14.6-inch display, a large battery, possible flagship MediaTek performance, and premium tablet features, it could become one of Samsung’s most powerful Android tablets when it arrives.
