Lenovo V15 G7 Q7X Debuts as a Budget 15-Inch Snapdragon Laptop With Long Battery Life
Lenovo has officially introduced the V15 G7 Q7X, a new 15-inch Windows laptop powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon C processor. Designed as a more affordable Windows-on-Arm option, the laptop joins Lenovo’s V15 lineup alongside the Intel-based V15 G7 model that launched earlier.
The biggest difference is under the hood. Instead of an Intel processor, the Lenovo V15 G7 Q7X uses the Snapdragon C C11-0100, Qualcomm’s entry-level chip aimed at budget-friendly Windows laptops. This processor features eight Kryo CPU cores and is positioned below the more powerful Snapdragon X and Snapdragon X2 platforms.
While it is not built to compete with premium AI laptops, the V15 G7 Q7X can still handle some local AI workloads. However, its 12 TOPS NPU falls short of the requirement for Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC category, meaning buyers should view this machine as an efficient everyday laptop rather than a high-end AI-focused device.
The Snapdragon-powered Lenovo V15 G7 Q7X can be configured with up to 16 GB of dual-channel LPDDR5X-6393 memory and up to 512 GB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage. Entry-level models, however, will come with 128 GB of UFS 3.1 storage, which helps keep costs lower but may be limiting for users who store lots of files, apps, or media locally.
Compared with the Intel variant, the Snapdragon model trades some raw memory expandability for better efficiency. The Intel version supports up to 32 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM, though it uses a single-channel setup, and starts with 256 GB of PCIe 3.0 storage.
Battery life is one of the biggest selling points of the Lenovo V15 G7 Q7X. Lenovo rates the Snapdragon model for up to 23.28 hours in JEITA-BAT 3.0 testing, compared with up to 16.91 hours for the Intel model. The Snapdragon version also includes a slightly larger 50 Wh battery, while the Intel version uses a 47 Wh battery.
That makes the V15 G7 Q7X an appealing choice for students, office workers, and frequent travelers who want a 15-inch laptop that can last through long workdays without constantly needing a charger.
Lenovo has also upgraded the display on the Snapdragon model. The laptop features a 16:10 IPS panel with a 1920 x 1200 resolution, giving users more vertical screen space than a traditional 16:9 display. Brightness has been increased to 400 nits, compared with 300 nits on the Intel model, and Lenovo will offer an optional 120 Hz touchscreen.
For a budget-focused laptop, that combination could make the V15 G7 Q7X more comfortable for browsing, office work, video calls, streaming, and light productivity. The taller aspect ratio should be especially useful for reading documents, working in spreadsheets, and multitasking.
The overall design remains practical and familiar. The Lenovo V15 G7 Q7X uses a plastic chassis and keeps a broad selection of ports. It includes two full-function USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, HDMI, a headphone jack, and a microSD card reader. On the Intel model, Lenovo includes Gigabit Ethernet instead of the microSD slot.
Other features include a 720p webcam with a privacy shutter, a non-backlit keyboard, and a dedicated number pad. The inclusion of a numeric keypad should appeal to users who frequently work with spreadsheets, accounting tools, or data entry tasks.
Lenovo has not confirmed official pricing for the V15 G7 Q7X yet. However, because the Snapdragon C platform is designed for lower-cost Windows laptops, the new model may launch at a more affordable price than the Intel-based V15 G7 in some regions.
The company appears to be preparing a wide international release, with multiple configurations already listed for markets across Europe, Asia, and Africa.
Overall, the Lenovo V15 G7 Q7X looks like a practical budget laptop for users who prioritize battery life, a large display, modern connectivity, and everyday Windows performance. It may not be a premium Copilot+ PC or a performance powerhouse, but it could become a strong option for buyers seeking an affordable 15-inch Snapdragon laptop for school, office work, and general daily use.
