Lenovo Lecoo Air 14 LNL debuts with Core Ultra power, 2.8K 120Hz display, and a much bigger battery
Lenovo’s budget-focused Lecoo lineup is getting a serious upgrade with the new Lecoo Air 14 LNL, a refreshed 14-inch ultrabook aimed at users who want a thin and light laptop without sacrificing display quality, battery life, or everyday performance.
The new model follows the original Lecoo Air 14 that arrived in May, but this version brings meaningful improvements across nearly every major category. Instead of the entry-level Intel chip used in the earlier model, the Air 14 LNL moves to Intel’s Core Ultra 5 228V processor, giving the laptop a stronger efficiency-focused platform for productivity, multitasking, and long battery life.
One of the biggest upgrades is the display. The Lenovo Lecoo Air 14 LNL features a 14-inch 2.8K screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 450 nits of brightness. That is a major step up from the previous model’s 1920 x 1200 resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and 300-nit brightness. For users who spend long hours browsing, writing, studying, streaming, or working with documents, the sharper and smoother panel should make the laptop feel far more premium.
Despite the improved hardware, Lecoo is keeping the design portable. The Air 14 LNL uses a lightweight alloy chassis and weighs around 1.18 kg, with a thickness of 14.98 mm. It is not quite as light as the original Air 14, which leaned heavily into the “under 1 kg” appeal, but the trade-off brings a significantly better display, a stronger processor, and a much larger battery.
Battery life is another standout feature. Lenovo has increased the battery capacity to 80 Wh, compared with the 50 Wh pack in the earlier Air 14. Lecoo claims the new model can deliver up to 21 hours of office use. Real-world results will depend on brightness, workload, connectivity, and power settings, but the combination of a larger battery and Intel’s efficient Lunar Lake platform should make the Air 14 LNL a strong option for students, travelers, and office users who want all-day endurance.
The laptop also ships with a 65W GaN charger, which should make charging more convenient while keeping the power adapter compact. Other features include a backlit keyboard with 1.5 mm key travel, facial recognition for faster sign-ins, and a practical selection of ports for daily use.
Compared to the original Lecoo Air 14, the LNL model is clearly positioned as the more capable and premium option. The first version launched with an Intel Core 5 315 processor, 12 GB of LPDDR5 memory, a 512 GB SSD, a 50 Wh battery, and a 60Hz display. It was built around extreme portability and aggressive pricing, with a starting price equivalent of about $440.
The new Lecoo Air 14 LNL gives up a little of that ultra-lightweight advantage, but it gains a much better screen, improved performance, and a 60% increase in battery capacity. For many buyers, that will be a worthwhile exchange, especially if they want a compact Windows ultrabook that feels smoother and lasts longer on a charge.
Lenovo has not yet confirmed the official price or release date for the Lecoo Air 14 LNL. However, given the upgraded processor, higher-resolution 120Hz display, larger battery, and improved overall package, it is expected to cost more than the original Air 14.
If Lenovo can keep the price competitive, the Lecoo Air 14 LNL could become one of the more attractive budget ultrabooks for users looking for a lightweight laptop with modern performance, strong battery life, and a premium-looking display.
