Lenovo Hints at a Bigger-Screen Legion Gaming Tablet to Outsize the Tab Gen 5

Lenovo may have only just rolled out its latest Legion gaming tablet globally, but the company is already teasing what looks like an even bigger follow-up. A newly shared image suggests Lenovo is preparing a second Legion-branded gaming tablet with a noticeably larger display than the recently released Legion Tab Gen 5.

The Legion Tab Gen 5 arrived on the global market in March 2026 and features an 8.8-inch screen, targeting gamers who want a compact tablet with performance-focused styling. Now, a new unreleased model has surfaced in a side-by-side photo, making the size jump hard to miss. The image was posted by Song Yuezhu, Lenovo’s Consumer Customer Marketing Director in China, giving the teaser extra weight and making it clear this isn’t just a rumor circulating online.

Beyond the larger screen, the photo also reveals a few design changes. The upcoming tablet appears to switch from a single rear camera on the Gen 5 model to a dual-camera setup, hinting at upgraded imaging hardware or added functionality. At the same time, Lenovo is keeping the signature gaming flair: RGB lighting is visible on the back, just like on the Legion Tab Gen 5, reinforcing that this device is being positioned squarely as a gaming-centric tablet rather than a standard productivity slate.

While no official specifications have been shared yet—no processor details, refresh rate, battery size, or pricing—Song Yuezhu hinted that the launch is coming soon in China. That timing suggests Lenovo is moving quickly to expand its Legion tablet lineup and potentially address users who want a larger screen for gaming, streaming, and multitasking without stepping up to a full-size laptop.

The bigger display could also put Lenovo in more direct competition with other large-screen flagship Android tablets from major brands, especially models that prioritize high-end performance and premium screens. Some speculation points to the possibility that Lenovo could introduce the device under the Legion Y900 name in China, though the final branding hasn’t been confirmed. It’s also unclear whether Lenovo plans to release this larger Legion tablet outside China after its initial launch.

For now, the image gives the clearest clues: a larger Legion gaming tablet is on the way, it keeps the RGB design language, and it upgrades the rear camera layout. With Lenovo already teasing it openly, more details—like exact screen size, chipset, and release schedule—should surface soon.
