Fresh details are swirling around Sony’s next PlayStation Plus update, and a well-known leaker is now pumping the brakes on an earlier rumor that had many gamers excited. After an X account claimed that Dragon’s Dogma 2 and Final Fantasy XVI were set to headline the upcoming PS Plus additions, the new update suggests that information was off the mark.
According to leaker billbil-kun, the earlier claim doesn’t match what they’re seeing. They also noted they tried to reach the original source behind the Dragon’s Dogma 2 and Final Fantasy XVI report but didn’t receive any reply. Based on their latest expectations, Sony’s next PlayStation Plus catalog expansion is instead expected to focus on a different lineup of games—primarily for PS5.

There may also be something for PS4 players, too. The same update suggests Persona 5 Royal won’t be limited to PS5, with PS4 access reportedly included as well. On top of that, Astroneer is said to be coming specifically for PS4.
For players subscribed to PlayStation Plus Premium, Sony has already confirmed an extra bonus: Tekken Dark Resurrection is on the way for Premium members.
As for timing, the next PlayStation Plus announcement is expected on March 11 at 15:30 UTC. If the schedule holds, the newly added games should become available to download starting March 17.
