Leaked LEGO Pokémon Poké Ball Set Could Be the Most Ambitious Pokémon Build Yet
A major LEGO Pokémon leak has given fans an early look at what may become one of the most eye-catching sets in the lineup: LEGO Pokémon set 72154, reportedly titled Iconic Trainer Moments: Poké Ball.
The leaked images show a large brick-built Poké Ball that opens up to reveal a detailed two-level scene inside. Rather than being just a display model, the Poké Ball appears to split apart into a miniature Pokémon world, with Professor Oak’s lab built into the upper section and a grassy outdoor area in the lower bowl featuring Pikachu and Eevee.
For longtime Pokémon fans, the concept is immediately familiar. Professor Oak’s lab is one of the most iconic locations in the franchise, especially for those who began their journey with the original games. Pairing that setting with a large opening Poké Ball gives the set a nostalgic, display-friendly design that could appeal to both LEGO collectors and Pokémon fans.
According to the leaked packaging details, the set is expected to retail for $299.99. The release date has not been officially confirmed, but current information points to a possible launch on October 1, 2026.
The piece count remains slightly unclear. Some leaked materials list the set at 2,343 pieces, while earlier information suggested 2,339 pieces. Another version of the box art appears to show 2,386 pieces. Small differences like this can happen before a product is formally revealed, so the final number may not be confirmed until LEGO makes an official announcement.
One of the biggest details from the leak is the reported inclusion of human Pokémon minifigures. The set is said to include Red, Professor Oak, and a Picnicker, making it the first LEGO Pokémon release to feature human characters in minifigure form. Pikachu and Eevee are also expected to be included, though both Pokémon figures have already appeared in separate leaks earlier in the year.
The Iconic Trainer Moments: Poké Ball set was previously expected to arrive on August 1, but it was reportedly delayed because of production issues. Other LEGO Pokémon sets planned for the same summer wave are believed to have stayed on track for their original August release window.
At $299.99, this LEGO Pokémon Poké Ball would sit among the most expensive Pokémon-themed LEGO sets to date. Its combination of a large-scale display model, an opening play feature, recognizable characters, and a classic Pokémon location could make it a standout release for collectors.
For now, the set has not been officially announced by LEGO. However, if the rumored October 1 launch date is accurate, fans may not have to wait much longer for the full reveal, including final pricing, piece count, character lineup, and official images.
