Vivo appears to be preparing a powerful new iQOO tablet aimed at gamers, and a fresh benchmark listing has revealed some early details about what could be one of the most performance-focused Android tablets of 2026.
A device carrying the model number iPA2691 has appeared on Geekbench 7. This same model number was previously spotted in China’s SRRC certification database and is believed to be linked to the upcoming iQOO Pad Ultra. Vivo’s iQOO brand has already confirmed that the Pad Ultra will launch in China in September 2026, positioning it as a compact, gaming-oriented tablet.
The Geekbench listing points to some seriously high-end hardware. The iQOO Pad Ultra is expected to run on Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship chip, reportedly the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. The processor is identified in the benchmark as SM8975 and is rumored to be built on an advanced 2nm manufacturing process.
According to the listing, the chipset features an eight-core CPU setup. This includes three cores clocked at 3.74 GHz, three cores running at 4.03 GHz, and two high-performance cores reaching up to 5.01 GHz. Graphics duties appear to be handled by the Adreno 850 GPU, suggesting that the tablet could be designed to handle demanding mobile games, high-refresh-rate visuals, and intensive multitasking.
The tested iQOO Pad Ultra unit is listed with 16GB of RAM and runs Android 17. In Geekbench 7, it achieved a single-core score of 1,512 and a multi-core score of 6,770.
While those numbers may seem modest for a next-generation flagship chipset, they likely do not represent the tablet’s final performance. Early benchmark results from unreleased devices are often affected by unfinished software, conservative power settings, thermal tuning, or pre-production hardware. Performance could improve significantly before the tablet reaches consumers.
For comparison, a Qualcomm reference device using the same chip reportedly delivered much higher Geekbench 7 results, scoring 3,582 in single-core and 12,247 in multi-core testing. This suggests the iQOO Pad Ultra may still be in an early optimization phase.
One of the most interesting details surrounding the tablet is iQOO’s confirmation that the Pad Ultra will feature a built-in cooling fan. That addition strongly supports its gaming-first identity. Active cooling could help the tablet maintain higher performance for longer periods, especially during graphically intense games or extended multitasking sessions.
With a compact design, 16GB of RAM, Android 17, next-generation Snapdragon hardware, and active cooling, the iQOO Pad Ultra is shaping up to be a serious contender in the premium gaming tablet market. More details are expected as the official September 2026 launch in China approaches.
