iQOO Pad Pro Launch Confirmed With 165Hz OLED Display and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
iQOO is preparing to expand its tablet lineup with the upcoming iQOO Pad Pro, which is now confirmed to launch in China in October 2026. Ahead of the official release, the company has revealed several key specifications, giving users an early look at what to expect from its next high-performance compact tablet.
The iQOO Pad Pro is shaping up to be a powerful option for gamers, entertainment lovers, and productivity users who want flagship-level performance in a slim and lightweight design. One of its biggest highlights is the 8.8-inch OLED display, which supports a super-smooth 165Hz refresh rate. This high refresh rate should make scrolling, gaming, animations, and supported content feel noticeably more fluid compared to standard tablet screens.
Despite packing premium hardware, the tablet keeps a very portable profile. The iQOO Pad Pro measures just 5.74mm thick and weighs 298 grams, making it easy to hold for long gaming sessions, reading, video streaming, or everyday use. For users who prefer smaller tablets over larger 11-inch or 12-inch models, this compact form factor could be one of its strongest selling points.
Battery life also looks promising. iQOO has equipped the Pad Pro with a 9,020mAh battery, which should provide solid endurance for gaming, media playback, browsing, and multitasking. While official charging details have not yet been confirmed, the large battery capacity suggests that iQOO is targeting users who need strong all-day performance.
Performance will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This positions the iQOO Pad Pro as a high-end Android tablet, especially for users who prioritize gaming, fast app loading, and smooth multitasking. The chipset choice is also one of the main differences between the Pad Pro and the previously released iQOO Pad Ultra, which uses the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor.
Interestingly, the iQOO Pad Pro shares several design and hardware similarities with the Pad Ultra. Both tablets feature an 8.8-inch 165Hz OLED display, a 5.74mm slim body, and a 9,020mAh battery. However, the processor difference may help iQOO position the Pad Pro as a slightly more affordable or performance-balanced alternative while still offering many of the same premium features.
To help maintain stable performance, especially during gaming or demanding workloads, the iQOO Pad Pro includes a built-in cooling fan. The fan measures 30 × 30 × 3.5mm and is designed to control heat during extended use. Active cooling is still uncommon in many tablets, so this feature may appeal strongly to mobile gamers who want sustained performance without heavy throttling.
The iQOO Pad Pro is already open for reservations in China, although the company has not yet announced the exact release date. More details, including pricing, memory configurations, charging speed, and availability outside China, are expected to be revealed closer to launch.
In addition to the new tablet, iQOO is also preparing to introduce the iQOO Neo 12 smartphone in China during the same month. The Neo 12 is expected to focus on performance, making October an important launch period for the brand’s gaming and power-user lineup.
With its compact OLED display, 165Hz refresh rate, large battery, slim build, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, and active cooling system, the iQOO Pad Pro could become one of the more interesting Android tablets of 2026. For users looking for a portable gaming tablet with premium specifications, this upcoming model is definitely one to watch.
