Apple’s next Pro Max iPhone may be getting a bigger battery than early rumors suggested. A newly surfaced image shared on Weibo appears to show battery units for two versions of the rumored iPhone 18 Pro Max, revealing what could be the exact capacities for the European and U.S. models.
According to the latest leak, the European version of the iPhone 18 Pro Max may feature a 5,235 mAh battery. This model is expected to include both a physical nano-SIM slot and eSIM support. If accurate, that would represent an increase of 412 mAh over the iPhone 17 Pro Max sold in Europe, or roughly an 8.5 percent improvement.
The U.S. version could offer an even larger battery. Since Apple’s U.S. iPhones have moved away from physical SIM cards in favor of dual eSIM support, the internal space saved may allow for a larger cell. The leaked image suggests a 5,425 mAh battery for the U.S. iPhone 18 Pro Max, up from 5,088 mAh in the previous generation. That would equal a 6.6 percent increase in battery capacity.
