Decathlon is gearing up to launch its latest e-bike, the Rockrider E-ACTV 900, a highly-anticipated addition expected to hit the market later this year. This hybrid e-bike packs a powerful punch with a double mid-drive motor capable of delivering up to 600W of peak power and is equipped with a Continuous Variation Transmission (CVT), ensuring smooth and efficient rides.
Building on the success of its predecessor, the E-ACTV 500, which debuted in April, the new model continues to enhance its tech-savvy offerings. Bluetooth connectivity allows users to seamlessly connect to the Decathlon Ride app, offering a variety of options to track rides and adjust bike settings effortlessly.
The powerhouse behind the E-ACTV 900 is its robust double mid-drive motor, boasting 250W nominal power and a peak of 600W, combined with a torque of up to 65 Nm. This is paired with a 694Wh battery, promising a remarkable range of up to 130 kilometers (approximately 81 miles) on a single charge with assistance. Featuring a vibrant color display positioned between the handlebars, riders can easily monitor their speed and adjust assistance modes while also enjoying the convenience of a USB-C port.
Designed with practicality and comfort in mind, the Rockrider E-ACTV 900 includes a suspension fork, Tektro T280 hydraulic disc brakes for reliable stopping power, and 30 lux lights for improved visibility. Constructed from a 6061 aluminum step-through frame, the bike is offered in three sizes, catering to various rider heights, and available in two stylish colors: flint gray and bronze green.
Pricing for the Decathlon Rockrider E-ACTV 900 has been listed in both the UK and Netherlands markets, with expected retail prices set at £2,999.99 and €2,699.99, respectively. Rumors suggest a launch date is imminent, although the exact timing remains under wraps.
Decathlon’s latest offering promises a blend of power, technological sophistication, and ergonomic design, making it a compelling option for e-bike enthusiasts eagerly awaiting its release.
