Decathlon Unveils the Upgraded Rockrider E-ACTV 500: A Fresh Take on the Hybrid E-Bike

Decathlon has refreshed its popular Rockrider E-ACTV 500 hybrid e-bike lineup in Europe with a brand-new color option. First introduced in March 2024, the Rockrider E-ACTV 500 has already been sold in Eucalyptus Green, Lavender Purple, and Cream Beige. Now, shoppers in several European countries can also pick it up in an eye-catching Peach Orange finish.

The new Peach Orange Rockrider E-ACTV 500 is appearing in Decathlon’s online store in markets such as France, the Netherlands, and Spain. Pricing stays consistent with the original launch, with the new color arriving at a recommended retail price of €1,999.99. Interestingly, however, Spain is currently showing a lower price on the older colors, which are listed at €1,799.99—potentially making them a better value for riders who don’t mind skipping the latest paint job.

Beyond the new frame color, nothing else changes—and that’s good news for anyone who liked the original spec. The Decathlon Rockrider E-ACTV 500 remains a practical electric hybrid bike designed for everyday riding, commuting, and weekend leisure trips. It uses a Yamaha PW-C2 mid-drive motor that delivers up to 55 Nm of torque and 250W of power, providing smooth assistance up to 25 kph (around 16 mph), in line with common European e-bike regulations.

Range is another highlight. The 504 Wh battery is rated for up to 150 km (about 93 miles) of assistance in Eco mode, making the Rockrider E-ACTV 500 appealing for longer rides or riders who prefer fewer charging stops.

The bike’s components focus on comfort and dependable real-world performance. You get an 8-speed setup with a Microshift Acolyte derailleur, paired with a Suntour SF15 NEX-E25 suspension fork to help take the edge off rough roads and light trails. Braking comes from Tektro T280 hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm rotors, aimed at confident stopping in mixed weather and urban conditions. Decathlon also includes puncture-resistant Rockrider Protect+ tires for added peace of mind on daily routes.

Small usability touches help round out the package. The adjustable handlebar stem (from -10° to 60°) makes it easier to dial in a sporty or upright riding position. A handlebar-mounted color display shows essentials like speed and battery level, and the controller includes a USB-A port so you can charge a smartphone while riding. Bluetooth support is also built in, letting riders sync with the free Decathlon Ride app to view additional ride statistics.

On the practicality front, the Rockrider E-ACTV 500 comes with front and rear lights and is built to work with useful add-ons such as a rear luggage rack, a child seat, or even a trailer—features that matter for commuters and families. The aluminum frame is sold in four sizes from S to XL, and the size M version is listed at 24.5 kg (around 54.0 lbs).

For UK riders, there’s no confirmed timing yet on whether—or when—the Peach Orange Rockrider E-ACTV 500 will arrive. For now, it’s a Europe-focused update, offering the same well-rounded electric hybrid bike experience in a brighter new look.
