GMKtec is expanding its lineup with a new budget-friendly mini PC designed for everyday computing in a compact footprint. The latest model, called the NucBox M3 Pro, keeps costs down by using Intel’s Core i5-13500H from the Raptor Lake-H family. It’s not the newest chip on the market, but it still has plenty of performance for common needs like office work, web browsing, video calls, and smooth media streaming.
For graphics, the system relies on Intel’s integrated Xe G7 GPU. That means you shouldn’t expect high-end gaming, but it can handle light gaming and casual titles, along with typical productivity and entertainment workloads.
Interestingly, the “older but capable” theme continues with the memory setup. Even though the Core i5-13500H supports DDR5, GMKtec went with a DDR4 motherboard. The upside is flexibility and value: the M3 Pro includes two SO-DIMM slots supporting up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM at 3200 MHz, which is more than enough for multitasking, heavier browser use, and many creative or business tasks.
Storage is another strong point for a mini PC in this price range. You get two M.2 slots, and each slot can support up to an 8TB SSD. That adds up to a potential 16TB of total internal SSD storage, making the M3 Pro a compelling option for users who want a small desktop that can still hold a large media library, big project files, or lots of applications.
Size is where the NucBox M3 Pro really leans into the mini PC appeal. The chassis measures about 128.5 x 127 x 51 mm, making it easy to place on a desk, tuck beside a monitor, or fit into tight home office and living room setups.
Despite the compact design, the port selection is well-rounded for day-to-day use. It includes a 5Gbps USB Type-C port with DisplayPort support, a USB 2.0 Type-A port, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, a 2.5G LAN port for fast wired networking, an HDMI 2.0 port for display output, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Wireless connectivity is also covered with WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, which is useful for modern routers, wireless peripherals, and stable streaming.
Cooling is another area GMKtec highlights, noting that the thermal solution can allow the processor to reach up to a 45W TDP in performance mode. For buyers, that translates to better sustained performance under heavier workloads compared to ultra-low-power mini PCs that throttle quickly.
Pricing is where this mini PC aims to stand out. The barebone version starts at $329.99, and there’s an additional $15 discount available with the coupon code M3P15. Preconfigured options are also available, including a model with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage for $479.99, and a higher-tier configuration with 32GB RAM and 1TB storage for $679.99.
For anyone shopping for an affordable mini PC that balances compact size, strong storage expansion, and capable everyday performance, the GMKtec NucBox M3 Pro is positioned as a practical value option—especially if you don’t need the newest CPU generation to get the job done.
