Lockheed Martin, a leading name in aerospace and defense, has unveiled its new subsidiary, Astris AI, set to revolutionize the integration of artificial intelligence within the defense sector. This venture aims to enhance AI capabilities across defense-related entities and security companies with stringent safety requirements.
In a recent announcement, Lockheed Martin highlighted its significant strides in developing state-of-the-art MLOps software, a generative AI platform designed specifically for high-assurance clients, and assembling a formidable team of AI experts. These advancements are poised to empower both defense and commercial enterprises in crafting and rolling out AI solutions that are secure, resilient, and adaptable on a large scale.
Astris AI will introduce two groundbreaking products: the AI Factory Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) and a generative AI platform. These tools are designed to streamline processes such as post-mission analytics, software code testing, and the examination of extensive documents. At the helm of Astris AI is Donna O’Donnell, a seasoned professional who formerly led AI and automation sales at Xerox.
O’Donnell expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration between Lockheed Martin and Astris AI, stating that this partnership will provide organizations with sophisticated AI solutions, ensuring secure and reliable interactions, compliance, and responsible decision-making. This initiative promises to help companies stay ahead of the curve as they navigate the rapidly evolving tech landscape.
