Hyper Crash Returns to Modern Consoles Through Arcade Archives
Hamster Corporation has confirmed that Hyper Crash, Konami’s high-speed arcade racing game from 1987, is making its comeback on modern platforms. The classic title will be released on July 9, depending on local time zones, marking the first time Hyper Crash has been officially ported to current gaming systems.
The game will arrive through Arcade Archives 2 for Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5. It will also be available through the original Arcade Archives lineup for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
Pricing has been set at $14.99 for the Arcade Archives version, while the Arcade Archives 2 edition will cost $16.99. Players who already own the Arcade Archives version will be able to upgrade to the Arcade Archives 2 release for $2.99.
Originally released by Konami in 1987, Hyper Crash delivers an intense arcade racing experience built around speed, hazards, and aggressive vehicle combat. Players race across six stages filled with different landscapes, structures, and challenging obstacles inspired by locations around the world.
