Huawei has officially unveiled its latest ultra-thin wearables in China: the Watch Fit 5 and Watch Fit 5 Pro. After a wave of mid-April leaks revealed key specs and images, the company has now confirmed the details, highlighting brighter AMOLED displays, upgraded health tracking, and a brand-new stretching feature designed to keep users moving throughout the day.
One of the headline additions across the Huawei Watch Fit 5 series is a new wrist-based micro-movement stretching feature. Built to encourage healthier daily habits, it guides users through 30 types of movements aimed at helping stretch ten areas of the body, including common problem zones like the neck, shoulders, and back. It’s a practical wellness-focused tool that fits naturally into the smartwatch experience, especially for people who spend long hours at a desk.
Beyond stretching, both models continue the Watch Fit lineup’s focus on everyday fitness and health monitoring. Users can track a wide range of metrics, while an upgraded sensor is said to improve heart rate accuracy. The watches also support GPS tracking and work with many third-party apps, making them suitable for everything from casual walking to structured workouts. Huawei estimates around seven days of battery life with typical use, keeping these watches competitive for users who don’t want to charge nightly.
The Huawei Watch Fit 5 is positioned as the “ultra-thin and lightweight” option. It features a 1.82-inch AMOLED display, similar in size to the previous generation, but with a big boost in peak brightness up to 2,500 nits for improved outdoor visibility. The watch uses an aluminum alloy casing and measures 9.5 mm thin, helping it keep a sleek profile on the wrist. It weighs about 27 g, making it an appealing pick for anyone who prefers a barely-there feel during workouts and all-day wear.
Pre-orders for the Watch Fit 5 in China are open now, priced between CNY 1,099 and 1,199 (about $161 to $176), depending on the version.
For buyers who want more premium materials and advanced health features, the Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro steps things up in several key areas. It comes with a larger 1.92-inch AMOLED display and pushes brightness even further, up to 3,000 nits. The screen is protected by sapphire glass, and the watch adds a titanium alloy bezel—two notable upgrades over the standard model. It’s slightly heavier at around 30.4 g, but still very light for a smartwatch with higher-end construction.
The Pro model also expands wellness and sport functionality with an ECG sensor for heart rhythm monitoring, adding more depth to heart health tracking. It’s also designed for more adventurous use, supporting diving activities down to 40 meters, which broadens its appeal for water sports enthusiasts.
In China, the Watch Fit 5 Pro is priced between CNY 2,099 and 2,199 (roughly $308 to $323), reflecting its upgraded hardware and features.
Huawei has confirmed that the Watch Fit 5 series will launch in China on April 29. A European release date hasn’t been announced yet, but current rumors point to pricing of €199 for the Watch Fit 5 and €299 for the Watch Fit 5 Pro. If those figures hold, the new models would arrive at a higher price point than the earlier Watch Fit 4, which debuted in Europe with a €169 recommended price.
With brighter AMOLED screens, improved heart tracking, week-long battery expectations, and a new guided stretching feature, the Huawei Watch Fit 5 and Fit 5 Pro are shaping up to be strong new contenders in the lightweight fitness smartwatch category—especially for users who want a slim design without sacrificing modern health and workout tools.
