Huawei is getting ready to expand its luxury smartwatch lineup with a new, even more eye-catching version of the Huawei Watch Ultimate Design. Set to be unveiled in China on April 20, this fresh model arrives alongside other product announcements, including the Huawei Watch Buds 2.
The upcoming release is officially called the Huawei Watch Ultimate Design Extraordinary Master Diamond Edition, and it’s designed to stand out the moment you see it. Based on an official teaser shared on Weibo, this edition leans heavily into jewelry-inspired styling, with diamonds featured prominently across the watch. You’ll find diamond accents at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions, plus additional diamonds embedded along the strap. Even the watch case adopts a diamond-cut look, reinforcing the premium, statement-piece aesthetic.
This Diamond Edition also differs in shape and controls when compared to the Huawei Watch Ultimate Design Royal Edition, which debuted in China last November and later reached Europe in January 2026. While the Royal Edition features a digital crown paired with two round buttons, the new Diamond Edition keeps the crown but switches to a single pill-shaped button. The overall styling signals a clear shift in audience, with the Diamond Edition appearing tailored more toward women, while the Royal Edition presents a bolder, more traditionally masculine design.
Pricing hasn’t been revealed yet, but expectations are high given where the Royal Edition sits in the market. For reference, the Huawei Watch Ultimate Design Royal Edition launched at CNY 24,999 in China, with European pricing at €3299 and UK pricing at £2999.99. With diamonds across the face and strap, the Extraordinary Master Diamond Edition is unlikely to come in below that level.
With its luxury materials and fashion-forward approach, the Huawei Watch Ultimate Design Extraordinary Master Diamond Edition looks positioned to compete in the high-end smartwatch space where design, exclusivity, and premium finish matter just as much as features. All eyes will be on Huawei’s April 20 event for the full reveal, including official specifications, availability, and final pricing.
