Huawei MatePad 11.5 S (2026) Launches with Ultra-Clear PaperMatte Display and Early-Bird Deals

Huawei is refreshing its popular mid-size tablet lineup with the MatePad 11.5 S 2026, bringing several meaningful upgrades over the 2025 model that make it a more compelling pick for note-takers, students, and everyday multitaskers.

One of the headline improvements is stylus support. The MatePad 11.5 S 2026 now works with the M-Pencil Pro, expanding its appeal for handwriting, sketching, and precision input. Huawei is also leaning harder into productivity by boosting memory significantly: the new model comes with 12 GB of RAM, a 50% increase compared to its predecessor, paired with 256 GB of storage. Out of the box, it runs HarmonyOS 4.3.

Performance is handled by Huawei’s Kirin T92X hexacore processor. While Huawei hasn’t shared additional technical details about the chipset in the official specs, it’s positioned as the tablet’s core engine for daily apps, split-screen workloads, and media use.

Battery capacity remains unchanged at 8,800 mAh, but charging is where the 2026 edition makes a big leap. The tablet now supports up to 40W charging, delivering speeds that are twice as fast as the previous generation—an upgrade that matters if you rely on your tablet throughout the day and don’t want to stay tethered to a charger for long.

Display quality is another major focus this year. Huawei has introduced an improved version of its PaperMatte Display, built to deliver higher clarity while staying easy on the eyes and maintaining that paper-like feel for writing and reading. The 11.5-inch panel packs a sharp 2.8K resolution and an adaptive refresh rate that can reach up to 144 Hz, helping everything from scrolling to stylus input look and feel smoother.

Design-wise, the MatePad 11.5 S 2026 keeps things sleek and portable. It measures just 6.1 mm thin and comes in two color options: grey and green. With faster charging, more RAM, M-Pencil Pro compatibility, and an upgraded PaperMatte screen, the MatePad 11.5 S 2026 looks like a well-rounded tablet upgrade aimed at people who want a clearer display, smoother performance, and a more notebook-like writing experience.
