HP OmniDesk Mini Desktop AI PC Brings Big AI Power to a Tiny Workstation
HP is expanding its next-generation AI PC lineup with the new HP OmniDesk Mini Desktop PC, a compact desktop designed for creators, developers, and professionals who want workstation-style performance without a large tower taking up desk space.
The new mini PC is built around Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, giving it the kind of performance needed for demanding productivity, content creation, and AI-based workloads. One of its key advantages is the dedicated NPU, which helps accelerate local AI tasks more efficiently. This means users can run supported AI features and intelligent workflows directly on the device rather than relying entirely on cloud processing.
HP is positioning the OmniDesk Mini Desktop PC as an ultra-small form factor system for modern hybrid work environments. Its compact size makes it a practical option for home offices, creative studios, and professional setups where space matters, but performance still needs to be strong.
A major highlight is Thunderbolt Share support. This feature allows users to control two PCs with a single keyboard and mouse, making it easier to move between systems without constantly switching accessories. It also supports fast file transfers, which can be especially useful for creators, developers, and business users working with large projects.
Despite its small footprint, the HP OmniDesk Mini Desktop PC is designed for serious multitasking. It supports up to four 4K displays, giving users plenty of screen space for video editing, coding, design work, data analysis, or complex productivity workflows. The inclusion of two Thunderbolt 4 ports also adds high-speed connectivity for external storage, displays, docks, and other professional accessories.
The device is part of HP’s broader push into AI-focused computing. The company is also working to bring more AI-enhanced hardware and graphics capabilities across its upcoming desktop and notebook products, including systems designed for advanced creative and AI development tasks.
The HP OmniDesk Mini Desktop PC is expected to launch in August 2026. Pricing has not yet been announced and will likely be confirmed closer to availability. HP has also not released official product images of the OmniDesk Mini Desktop PC at this stage, so its final design remains under wraps.
For users looking for a compact AI desktop PC with strong connectivity, multi-display support, and local AI acceleration, the HP OmniDesk Mini Desktop PC could become one of the more interesting small-form-factor systems to watch in 2026.
