HP Unveils 14-Inch Global Laptop With Blazing 800-Nit Display and 32GB RAM

HP EliteBook 8 G2i 14 launches internationally with new Intel Core Ultra options and an 800-nit display

HP has started rolling out its new EliteBook 8 G2i 14 in international markets, bringing a compact 14-inch business laptop with Intel’s latest Core Ultra processors, modern display options, and a travel-friendly design aimed at professionals who need performance on the go.

In the UK, the HP EliteBook 8 G2i 14 starts at around £1,348. The entry-level configuration includes an Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor, 16 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage, a 1200p display, and a 68 Wh battery. That setup positions the laptop as a premium business machine for users who want a balance of portability, battery life, and everyday productivity performance.

Pricing appears to vary significantly by region. In the Eurozone, HP lists a similar configuration at €2,251, making it notably more expensive than the UK model. At the moment, however, availability is limited, with only a Core Ultra 7 355 version currently orderable in some European markets. That higher-end model costs more than €200 extra compared with the listed Core Ultra 5 version.

UK buyers also have another processor option, as HP is offering the EliteBook 8 G2i 14 with the Intel Core Ultra 5 335. For users who need more memory, the Core Ultra 7 355 configuration is the one to watch, as it can be configured with up to 32 GB of RAM.

One of the most interesting features of the new EliteBook 8 G2i 14 is its display selection. HP is offering certain configurations with a bright 800-nit panel, which should make the laptop much easier to use in bright offices, near windows, or while travelling. A brighter screen is especially useful for professionals who frequently work outside traditional desk setups.

That said, one anticipated display option has not yet appeared. HP previously indicated that a 1600p panel with a 120 Hz variable refresh rate would be available, but that version has not materialised so far. It remains unclear when, or if, this higher-resolution and smoother display option will become available.

The HP EliteBook 8 G2i 14 is currently appearing in select international markets, including the UK and parts of Europe. Wider availability, including a potential US launch, has not yet been confirmed.

With its compact 14-inch form factor, Intel Core Ultra processor choices, 68 Wh battery, optional 800-nit display, and business-focused configuration options, the EliteBook 8 G2i 14 looks set to appeal to professionals looking for a premium work laptop with strong mobility and modern hardware.
