Taiwan Prosecutors Indict Nine in Nvidia B300 AI Server Export Case
Taiwan’s Keelung District Prosecutors Office has indicted nine people in a case involving the alleged illegal export of high-end AI servers powered by Nvidia B300 GPUs. The case has drawn attention because it shows how advanced AI hardware, strict compliance procedures, and global export controls can become vulnerable when insiders find ways to bypass the system.
According to the indictment, the servers were not ordinary computing machines. They were built around Nvidia’s powerful B300 GPUs, hardware designed for demanding artificial intelligence workloads, large-scale data processing, machine learning training, and enterprise AI infrastructure. Because of their performance and strategic importance, systems using these chips are closely monitored in many international supply chains.
Prosecutors say the illegal export operation was not a simple paperwork violation. Instead, the indictment describes a coordinated effort that allegedly defeated a compliance system meant to track every approved unit from order to shipment.
