Govee is preparing to expand its smart outdoor lighting lineup with the newly announced Outdoor Wall Light Pro, a refreshed version of the company’s earlier Outdoor Wall Light from 2024. Designed for homeowners who want brighter, more customizable exterior lighting with modern smart home compatibility, the new model is expected to launch in the US soon.
One of the biggest upgrades is brightness. Govee says the Outdoor Wall Light Pro can reach up to 1,800 lumens, an increase from the previous model’s 1,500 lumens. That extra output should be noticeable for anyone using wall lights to illuminate entryways, patios, garages, walkways, or backyard seating areas where stronger coverage can improve both visibility and curb appeal.
The Outdoor Wall Light Pro uses 72 RGB LED beads and comes with a variety of preset lighting effects spanning both white and colored options. These effects, along with additional customization tools, are available through the Govee Home app. There’s also a DIY Mode for users who prefer to tailor lighting scenes to match holidays, seasonal décor, events, or everyday ambiance.
Another practical improvement is the mounting hardware. Govee notes that the Outdoor Wall Light Pro features an upgraded mounting plate intended to make installation easier, which could be a welcome change for users who want a smoother setup process without spending extra time adjusting alignment.
Smart home support is also a key part of this update. The Outdoor Wall Light Pro is expected to include both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, and it supports Matter. Matter compatibility is important because it helps the light work with a broad range of third-party smart home platforms and devices, making it easier to integrate into mixed ecosystems without being locked into a single brand.
For now, Govee has placed the Outdoor Wall Light Pro on its US “Coming Soon” listing, but the company hasn’t confirmed an exact release date or official pricing. Full specifications are expected to be shared at launch, so buyers interested in brighter outdoor smart lighting with Matter support may want to keep an eye out as availability details emerge.
