Googlebooks are now available for pre-order, bringing a new wave of AI-ready laptops powered by Intel and Qualcomm chips. Designed for users who want strong performance, long battery life, and built-in AI features, the first lineup starts at $899 and will arrive in select markets in early October.
Google is working with several major silicon partners for the Googlebook platform, including Intel, Qualcomm, and MediaTek. For the initial launch, buyers will see models equipped with Intel Panther Lake Core Ultra Series 3 processors and Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite chips. These processors are built to support modern productivity, fast multitasking, and advanced on-device AI tools.
Every Googlebook will include at least 16 GB of RAM, with select models offering up to 32 GB. Google says these laptops can deliver up to 14 hours of video playback or up to 16 hours of web browsing, making them suitable for work, school, travel, and everyday use. The first wave of Googlebooks will come from well-known PC manufacturers, including Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, and Lenovo. This gives buyers a wide range of options, from premium ultrabooks to productivity-focused machines, while still meeting Google’s hardware and AI standards.
Pre-orders are open now through Google, Best Buy, and other retailers. Pricing begins at $899. Availability starts October 4 in the United States, followed by Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, and Australia on October 5.
