Gigabyte has officially expanded its RTX 50 series lineup with two new premium graphics cards: the AORUS GeForce RTX 5080 INFINITY and the AORUS GeForce RTX 5080 INFINITY Wood. Designed as part of the company’s 40th-anniversary celebration, these new GPUs bring a striking visual identity to one of Nvidia’s fastest next-generation graphics card classes.
The new RTX 5080 INFINITY models follow the design language first seen on the flagship AORUS RTX 5090 INFINITY, but now bring that same high-end styling to the 80-class segment. Both cards are built around an aerospace turbine-inspired look, giving them a bold, engine-like appearance that stands out from traditional gaming GPU designs.
A major highlight of the AORUS RTX 5080 INFINITY series is its circular fan layout and integrated RGB lighting. The lighting is placed around both the inner and outer rings of the turbine-style structure, creating a glowing effect that emphasizes the futuristic design. Another key feature is the concealed Overdrive fan. This extra fan is positioned on the opposite side of the card and is designed to quietly help remove heat when needed. Under heavier loads, the Overdrive fan automatically activates and follows its own dedicated fan curve, adding more airflow without constantly running at full speed. This setup is meant to deliver stronger thermal performance while keeping noise levels under control.
The RTX 5080 INFINITY and RTX 5080 INFINITY Wood also support Gigabyte’s Project Stealth concept. That means the power connector is placed at the rear of the card, allowing the power cable to be hidden more cleanly.
