Gigabyte has unveiled a range of new X870E and X870 motherboards tailored for AMD Ryzen CPU builders, encompassing both budget-friendly options and high-end models. These motherboards come from the company’s AORUS and Gaming families and are designed to complement the latest Ryzen 9000 CPUs, offering enhanced features on AM5 platforms.
The announcement included a total of six new models, specifically within the AORUS lineup, as well as two additional non-AORUS designs. These motherboards target various market segments, from affordable to premium.

– The AORUS PRO series serves the upper mid-range segment.
– The high-end X870E AORUS Master, crafted for overclocking enthusiasts, boasts a powerful VRM and extensive connectivity options.
For budget-conscious buyers, the X870E Eagle WiFi 7 and X870 Gaming X WiFi 7 provide a cost-effective alternative to the AORUS series while maintaining strong specifications for modern PCs. The X870E Eagle WiFi 7, which debuted quietly, features 18 power phases and supports up to 8000MHz DDR5 memory. Meanwhile, the X870 AORUS Elite WiFi 7 v1.x showcases a 20-power phase VRM and new EZ-Latch features for simpler M.2 and GPU installations.
The upgraded X870E AORUS Elite WiFi 7 offers improved connectivity and enhanced RGB lighting on the I/O shroud. The X870 AORUS Elite WiFi 7 ICE, differentiated mainly by its white-themed PCB and heatsinks, parallels the X870 AORUS Elite WiFi 7 v1.x.
Additionally, the X870E AORUS PRO and its variant, the X870E AORUS PRO ICE, cater to those favoring a white-themed setup, both featuring 16+2+2 power phase VRMs and the latest connectivity options.
The flagship model, the Gigabyte X870E AORUS Master, is equipped with a robust 20-power phase VRM designed for superior cooling, connectivity, onboard debugging capabilities, and I/O Zone AORUS Lighting.
The new X870 and X870E motherboards are set to go on sale starting September 30th.
