Garmin Unveils Update to Resolve Crashes in Flagship Smartwatches

Garmin has swiftly introduced a fresh update for its top-of-the-line smartwatches, focusing on the Enduro 3, Fenix E, Fenix 8, and Tactix 8 models. This update, Beta Version 17.13, is now being rolled out globally and brings a series of notable enhancements. The company is diligently working towards releasing a major stable update later this quarter.

In its effort to continually improve user experience, Garmin recently launched Beta Version 17.12, which featured four new additions and six bug fixes, including enhancements to the Evening Report Greeting Page on MiP-supported devices. Just before that, Beta Version 17.11 was released with an extensive list of changes.

Now, with Beta Version 17.13, users can manually download the update by navigating to the Main Menu on their smartwatch, selecting System and Software Update, and choosing ‘Check for Updates.’ Garmin has indicated that an over-the-air (OTA) download option may become available in the future.

The new update offers eleven changes, with the highlight being a ‘Tap In’ feature for the Evening Report Workouts Page. Other improvements include fixed issues with the backlight, notification center, GPS setup, and more. These ongoing enhancements demonstrate Garmin’s commitment to refining the performance of its devices and providing an exceptional user experience.
