Garmin enthusiasts have a reason to be excited as the company has rolled out beta version 13.24 for the Fenix 8 series and its smartwatch counterparts. This latest update builds upon the changes introduced in the previous beta version 13.22, which brought a passcode feature to the devices.
The update introduces six noteworthy enhancements designed to enhance the user experience. Notably, it includes haptic vibrations while editing Strength Sets and advanced HARP calculations. Skydivers will appreciate the new ability to input wind speed and direction via Jumpmaster. In addition, users will notice fresh backgrounds with low brightness across widget glances, and temperature data fields have now been integrated into the Skate activity profile.
One of the most exciting updates is the addition of predictive text on the smartwatch’s QWERTY keyboard in several languages, including French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Dutch. Alongside these features, the update addresses several bugs and improvements. These include resolving issues with bike trainer resistance, better management of Wi-Fi network saves, and enhanced HIIT activity timers. Duplicate iOS notifications are now a thing of the past, and solar models will no longer encounter issues with cut-off passcode digits.
This beta update is available for the Fenix 8 AMOLED, Fenix 8 Solar, Enduro 3, and the Fenix E smartwatches. If you are eager to experience these new features, simply navigate to Menu > System > Software Update > Check for updates on your smartwatch. While the timeline for the next stable release remains unclear, this beta update certainly sets the stage for significant advancements in Garmin smartwatches.
