GameSir Revamps Its Wired Controller with a PlayStation-Style Button Layout

GameSir is giving its budget-friendly Tegeneria Lite wired controller a fresh new look with a special colorway created in collaboration with MenaRD, the well-known Dominican esports champion and a brand ambassador for the company. Pre-orders are open now, and the new edition keeps the same low price that helped make the original controller popular.

First released in 2025, the GameSir Tegeneria Lite is designed for players who want an affordable wired controller with a familiar PlayStation-style layout, including symmetric thumbsticks. Until now, it was sold in two color options, but GameSir is adding a third: the officially named GameSir Tegeneria Lite MenaRD Edition.

This MenaRD collaboration stands out with a bold, high-contrast design. It features a green front shell paired with orange accents across the D-pad, thumbsticks, shoulder buttons, triggers, and ABXY face buttons. The orange theme continues on the back of the controller, the two rear buttons, and even the included USB-A cable. To finish it off, MenaRD’s signature appears in gold on the right grip, giving it a distinct “special edition” feel without changing what made the controller a value pick in the first place.

Price-wise, it’s a straightforward win for fans of the player and anyone who likes brighter accessories. The GameSir Tegeneria Lite MenaRD Edition costs $19.99, matching the standard versions. GameSir says the controller is expected to ship between April and May.

Beyond the new cosmetics, everything else remains the same as the regular Tegeneria Lite. It includes Hall Effect thumbsticks aimed at improving long-term durability and reducing the risk of drift, membrane analog triggers, cushioned membrane face buttons, and a membrane D-pad. You also get laser-engraved textured grips for a steadier hold, dual asymmetric rumble motors for vibration feedback, a turbo function for faster repeated inputs, and a 1,000Hz polling rate for responsive wired gameplay. Firmware updates are supported through the GameSir Connect app.

Platform compatibility is another key part of the Tegeneria Lite’s appeal. The controller works with Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 systems, Android, iOS, PC, and Steam, making it a simple plug-in option for players who move between devices and want one inexpensive controller to cover multiple setups.

With the MenaRD Edition, GameSir is essentially offering a more eye-catching version of an already ultra-affordable wired controller—ideal for anyone looking to add a splash of color to their gaming gear without paying a premium.
