Fujifilm Debuts Instax Pal 2 Camera and Link Wide 2 Printer for Instant Creative Fun

Fujifilm expands Instax lineup with the retro-inspired Instax Pal 2 camera and Link Wide 2 printer

Fujifilm has introduced two new additions to its popular Instax family: the Instax Pal 2 digital camera and the Instax Link Wide 2 instant photo printer. Together, they are designed to blend the charm of classic instant photography with the convenience of modern digital sharing and printing.

The Instax Pal 2 is a compact digital camera with a playful retro design, aimed at users who want a simple, stylish way to capture everyday moments. Despite its small size, the camera includes a range of creative tools, image effects, and smartphone connectivity, making it a fun option for casual photography, travel, parties, and instant-print enthusiasts.

The camera features a 1/3.06-inch CMOS sensor paired with an f/2.2 28mm lens. It can capture images at up to 3,776 × 2,832 pixels, which is around 10 megapixels, or at a lower 1,280 × 960 resolution for smaller files. Photos are stored on microSD cards, with support for cards up to 2 TB.

Fujifilm has equipped the Instax Pal 2 with autofocus and optional face detection, allowing it to focus from as close as 8 cm to infinity. The camera also includes automatic ISO sensitivity from ISO 100 to 1600, automatic shutter speeds ranging from 1/4 second to 1/8000 second, and 256-zone automatic exposure.

For users who want more control, exposure compensation is available from -2 EV to +2 EV in 1/3 EV steps. This gives photographers some flexibility when shooting in bright sunlight, dim rooms, or tricky backlit scenes.

The Instax Pal 2 also includes a 1.3-inch LCD screen with 170,000 dots, an optical viewfinder, built-in flash, and self-timer. Its physical shutter button, command dial, and retro-style controls give it a look and feel inspired by classic 35mm film cameras.

One of the biggest attractions of the Pal 2 is its creative photo effects. Through the companion smartphone app, users can choose from up to 30 image effects, including vintage-style looks that mimic older cameras and film-inspired tones. These effects can be installed directly onto the camera, allowing users to shoot with their preferred style without needing to edit afterward.

The camera also lets users frame photos for different Instax print formats, including Square, Mini, and Wide. This makes it easier to preview how a digital image will look before printing it as a physical instant photo.

For connectivity, the Instax Pal 2 supports USB-C and Bluetooth 5.3. Users can transfer photos to a smartphone or send images wirelessly to compatible Instax printers, including the new Instax Link Wide 2.

The Link Wide 2 is a battery-powered instant photo printer built for users who want larger Instax prints. It can print images captured on the Instax Pal 2 as well as photos from a smartphone, making it a flexible companion for anyone who enjoys physical photo prints. Its wide-format output is especially useful for group shots, landscapes, events, and keepsake photos.

The Instax Pal 2 weighs just 87 g and measures 37.0 × 42.0 × 92.3 mm, making it small enough to carry in a pocket or bag. Fujifilm says the camera can run for up to three hours on a charge. It will be available in Duo Beige and Duo Blue color options.

With the Instax Pal 2 and Instax Link Wide 2, Fujifilm continues to expand its instant photography ecosystem. The new camera offers a mix of retro design, digital convenience, creative filters, and easy printing, while the printer gives users a simple way to turn smartphone and camera images into tangible wide-format Instax photos. For fans of instant photography, the combination promises a fun and modern way to capture, customize, and print memories on the go.
