According to the details provided, the 60 FPS update arrives on January 21 for both PS5 and PS5 Pro, giving current-gen PlayStation players a cleaner, more modern-feeling way to revisit the 2012 open-world shooter.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Far Cry 3 Classic Edition has hit 60 frames per second on consoles. The game already runs at 60 FPS on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, which is why Xbox players aren’t seeing a similar “new update” push. On the PlayStation side, though, the news has been met with excitement from PS5 owners—and some frustration from PS4 players who were hoping for the same performance upgrade but aren’t included in this update.
