DJI has introduced a new portable power station in China called the DJI Power 1000 Mini, expanding its growing lineup of battery-powered backup and travel-friendly energy solutions. Launching just months after the Power 1000 V2 arrived in multiple regions, this new model focuses on one key goal: delivering a similar class of capacity in a noticeably smaller, easier-to-carry design.
The DJI Power 1000 Mini is positioned as the company’s most portable power station so far. It measures 314 x 212 x 216 mm (about 12.4 x 8.3 x 8.5 inches) and weighs 11.5 kg (around 25.4 lbs). That’s a meaningful size and weight reduction compared with the Power 1000 V2, which measures 448 x 225 x 230 mm (roughly 17.6 x 8.9 x 9.1 inches) and weighs 14.2 kg (about 31.3 lbs). For people who want a 1,000Wh-class power station for camping, road trips, home backup, or mobile work setups, the smaller footprint could make a real difference in daily use and transport.
Despite the compact shell, DJI keeps the capacity in the same ballpark. The Power 1000 Mini uses a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery with around 1,000Wh capacity, designed for long-term durability. DJI claims it can retain at least 80% of its original capacity after 4,000 cycles, a figure that will appeal to buyers who plan to use the power station frequently rather than occasionally.
Charging speed is also a big selling point. DJI says the Power 1000 Mini can recharge fully in as little as 75 minutes, with an 80% charge taking under an hour. That kind of fast recharge can be especially helpful when you need to top up quickly before heading out again or when using it as part of a rotating backup strategy at home. Charging options include AC input, USB-C input, and solar input, giving it flexibility for indoor charging, vehicle/travel charging setups, or off-grid use.
One of the standout additions on the DJI Power 1000 Mini is a retractable USB-C cable built into the unit, delivering up to 100W. Alongside that, you’ll find another 100W USB-C port, two 12W USB-A ports, and two AC outlets. The AC outlet count is reduced compared with the Power 1000 V2, which offers more AC ports, but the Mini still targets a balance of portability and practical outputs for common devices.
In terms of power delivery, the unit is rated for up to 1,000W maximum output and supports an 800W continuous load. It also includes a built-in LED light and an integrated handle, both geared toward real-world convenience—whether you’re moving it around a campsite, using it during a blackout, or carrying it between job sites.
Pricing in China is set at CNY 2,499 (around $359). For now, DJI hasn’t confirmed when—or if—the Power 1000 Mini will launch in other markets such as North America or Europe, but the aggressive pricing and compact design make it a model worth watching for anyone shopping for a lightweight 1,000Wh portable power station with fast charging and USB-C-focused features.
