Hisense Unveils High-Speed RGB Mini-LED TV with a 180Hz Refresh Rate

Hisense is expanding its RGB MiniLED lineup again with the launch of the new E8S Series in China. Arriving just months after the E8S Pro, the E8S is positioned as a high-end 4K TV built for fast motion, vivid color, and big-screen home entertainment.

The Hisense E8S is offered in three large sizes—75 inches, 85 inches, and 100 inches—and each model features a native 180Hz refresh rate. That high refresh rate is designed to deliver smoother motion for sports, action movies, and especially gaming, where fast response and fluid animation matter most.

Color performance is a major focus here. Hisense says the E8S covers 100% of the BT.2020 color gamut, a spec that points to wide color reproduction for more lifelike and saturated visuals. On the largest 100-inch version, the company also highlights an impressive 9,360 local dimming zones, which should help deliver deeper blacks, brighter highlights, and better contrast control across complex scenes.

To help the picture hold up in bright rooms, all sizes use Hisense’s Obsidian Screen Pro. The company claims it reflects only 1.8% of light, which can be a big advantage if your living room has lots of windows or overhead lighting and you want fewer distracting reflections on such large panels.

Gaming features are clearly part of the pitch. The E8S includes four HDMI 2.1 ports with up to 48Gbps bandwidth, giving it the connections needed for current-gen consoles and high-performance PCs. It’s also certified for AMD FreeSync Premium Pro at 180Hz, aiming to reduce screen tearing and stutter while keeping gameplay smooth and responsive.

Connectivity is rounded out with Wi‑Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4. Audio is handled by an integrated 4.2.2-channel speaker system tuned by Devialet, suggesting Hisense wants this TV to sound substantial even before you add a soundbar or home theater setup.

Design-wise, Hisense markets the E8S as having an ultra-thin body. The set can be mounted close to the wall for a cleaner, “built-in” look, or placed on a media console using the included stand.

Pricing in China starts at CNY 12,999 (around $1,865) for the 75-inch model. Outside China, this same TV is expected to be sold under the name Hisense UR8, with the UR9 likely positioned as the related international model corresponding to the E8S Pro. This expands Hisense’s growing range of RGB MiniLED TVs, aimed at buyers who want premium brightness, precision backlighting, and large-screen performance for movies, sports, and gaming.
