Clicks has introduced a new phone keyboard accessory that aims to bring physical typing back to modern smartphones without locking you into a single model. Called the Clicks Power Keyboard, it magnetically snaps onto the back of your device, connects over Bluetooth, and even works as a wireless charging power bank.
Unlike earlier Clicks keyboards made for specific phones, the Clicks Power Keyboard is built for broader compatibility. It’s designed to work with any smartphone that supports MagSafe or Qi2 magnetic wireless charging. That means it can attach to popular upcoming and current devices, and it can also work with phones that use a magnetic case even if the phone itself doesn’t include magnetic mounting by default.
Setup is simple: attach it to the back of your phone, power it on, and pair it via Bluetooth. When you want to type, you slide your phone upward to reveal the keyboard underneath. You can also rotate the phone for landscape use, which can be useful for writing, messaging, or working in apps that benefit from a wider view.
Clicks is also leaning into multi-device flexibility. The Power Keyboard can be paired with up to three devices at the same time, including non-phone gear like TVs, handheld gaming devices, or VR headsets, as long as Bluetooth is supported. A built-in key combination lets you switch between keyboard profiles, making it easier to jump between devices without constantly re-pairing.
One of the standout upgrades is a dedicated number row. For anyone who works with spreadsheets, budgeting apps, passwords, or data entry, having numbers always available can speed things up significantly. Adding that number row also frees up other keys for extra symbols, including arrow-style symbols mapped onto the W, A, S, and D keys.
The “Power” in the name is literal. The Clicks Power Keyboard doubles as a magnetic wireless charging power bank. It includes a 2,150mAh battery, with 500mAh reserved for the keyboard itself. Through the companion Clicks app, you can adjust how much battery capacity is allocated to powering the keyboard. Charging is limited to 5W, so it’s not meant for fast top-ups, but it can be a practical backup when your phone is running low and you need to keep it alive a little longer.
Pricing is another big part of the appeal. The Clicks Power Keyboard is available to pre-order now for $79, with shipping expected to begin this Spring. After the pre-order window ends, the price will rise to $109, while still remaining less expensive than some dedicated model-specific keyboard options on the market.
