Citizen is expanding its travel-ready lineup with three newly listed Promaster GMT watches in Hong Kong, giving fans of dual-time wristwatches more choice in colors, straps, and dial textures. The latest additions follow the recent arrival of a similar Eco-Drive Promaster GMT model in the US in January 2026, where the BJ7150-50W drew attention with its rich burgundy dial.
The newly revealed Hong Kong variants are the Citizen Promaster GMT BJ7155-05X, BJ7150-09L, and BJ7150-50E, all powered by Citizen’s light-driven Eco-Drive movement (calibre B878). Designed for convenient everyday wear and frequent travel, these watches convert light into energy and can run for up to nine months on a full charge, reducing the need for battery changes and making them a practical option for people who want a grab-and-go GMT watch.
Each model uses a straightforward, highly readable analog layout with four hands. The hour, minute, and second hands track your primary time zone, while an additional GMT hand displays the hour in a second time zone. For quick reference, there’s also a date window positioned at 3 o’clock. A fixed 24-hour bezel supports GMT tracking by letting you easily distinguish day and night hours when viewing the second time zone.
Across the range, Citizen keeps the build consistent with premium everyday materials. All versions feature sapphire crystal for improved scratch resistance and a stainless steel case. Interestingly, the Hong Kong listings describe the case as 38.6 mm wide and 13.4 mm thick, which differs slightly from the US specs previously shown for the BJ7150-50W at 39.5 mm in diameter. While the difference is small, watch buyers who care about sizing may want to keep an eye on region-by-region specifications.
Where these new Promaster GMT watches really stand out is styling. The BJ7155-05X leans into an outdoorsy look with a green dial, an orange GMT hand for contrast, and a khaki nylon strap. The BJ7150-09L goes in a cooler direction, pairing a blue dial with a yellow accent GMT hand and matching it with a blue nylon strap. If you prefer a more classic metal-bracelet feel, the BJ7150-50E combines a black dial with a red accent hand and a silver-tone metal bracelet. The previously introduced burgundy BJ7150-50W, also on a silver-tone metal bracelet, uses an orange GMT hand. All of the variants share textured dials and white indices, a combination that boosts legibility while adding a more premium, detailed look on the wrist.
Pricing in Hong Kong reflects the strap choices. The BJ7155-05X and BJ7150-09L are listed at HK$3,980 (around $510) each, while the metal-bracelet BJ7150-50E and BJ7150-50W are priced higher at HK$4,280 (around $548) each.
For now, these three newly listed Citizen Promaster GMT variants appear to be focused on the Hong Kong market, and there’s no confirmed timeline on whether they’ll be officially released in North America or Europe. Still, with Eco-Drive convenience, sapphire crystal, dual-time functionality, and multiple colorways, this latest Promaster GMT wave looks well positioned to appeal to travelers and anyone shopping for a dependable everyday GMT watch in 2026.
