CHUWI’s 18-Inch GameBook Max Goes Big With Core i9-14900HX, RTX 5060, and a $2,099 Price Tag

CHUWI GameBook Max Launches With 18-Inch 144Hz Display, RTX 5060 Graphics, and Intel HX CPUs

CHUWI has expanded its gaming laptop lineup with the new GameBook Max, an 18-inch machine aimed at players who want a bigger screen, strong performance, and modern graphics hardware without moving into the most expensive flagship laptop category.

The GameBook Max stands out because it does not use the newest Intel or AMD processor platform. Instead, CHUWI has chosen Intel’s previous-generation Raptor Lake Refresh HX chips, pairing them with NVIDIA’s newer GeForce RTX 5060 laptop GPU. That combination gives the system a mix of high-core-count CPU performance and up-to-date gaming graphics, making it an interesting option for users who want a large-screen gaming laptop for both play and productivity.

The main highlight is the 18-inch display. CHUWI says the larger form factor is designed to give gamers more space and a more immersive experience. The panel features a 1920 x 1200 resolution, which keeps the pixel count manageable for the GPU while offering a slightly taller 16:10 aspect ratio compared to standard Full HD screens.

The display uses an IPS panel and supports a 144Hz refresh rate, making it suitable for fast-paced games where smoother motion can make a noticeable difference. With the RTX 5060 inside, the laptop should be well-suited for 1200p gaming, especially in titles that support NVIDIA’s DLSS technology for improved performance and image quality.

Buyers will be able to choose between two Intel processor options: the Core i7-14650HX and the higher-end Core i9-14900HX. Both chips are designed for high-performance laptops and offer plenty of CPU power for gaming, content creation, multitasking, and demanding productivity workloads.

The Core i7 model should appeal to gamers who want strong performance at a lower starting price, while the Core i9 version is aimed at users who need extra processing power for heavier tasks such as video editing, rendering, streaming, or running multiple applications at once.

On the graphics side, the GameBook Max includes the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 laptop GPU with 8GB of GDDR7 memory. This is one of the more affordable GPUs in NVIDIA’s RTX 50 series lineup, but it still brings modern features and enough power for high-quality gaming at the laptop’s native resolution. With DLSS support, users can expect better frame rates in supported games while maintaining sharp visuals.

CHUWI is offering the GameBook Max in two memory and storage configurations. The base version comes with 16GB of DDR5 RAM and a 512GB SSD, while the higher configuration includes 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD. The larger memory and storage option will be better for users who install many modern games, work with large files, or want more headroom for multitasking.

Connectivity is also fairly complete for a gaming laptop. The GameBook Max includes USB Type-C ports, USB-A ports, Mini DisplayPort, HDMI, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Wireless support includes WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, while wired networking is handled by 2.5G LAN, a useful addition for gamers who prefer a stable low-latency connection.

CHUWI has opened pre-orders for the GameBook Max. Pricing starts at $1,799 for the Core i7-14650HX configuration, while the Core i9-14900HX model starts at $2,099. During the launch promotion, buyers may be able to receive a discount ranging from $50 to $100, depending on the configuration and offer availability.

Overall, the CHUWI GameBook Max is positioned as a large-screen gaming laptop that focuses on practical performance. It may not use the newest CPU platform, but the combination of Intel HX processors, an RTX 5060 GPU, a 144Hz 18-inch display, DDR5 memory, and modern connectivity gives it a solid feature set for gamers and power users who want a desktop-style experience in a portable form.
