China’s Lisuan Unveils Cutting-Edge 6 nm GPUs to Challenge RTX 4060 in Gaming and AI Development

Lisuan Technology has recently made waves with the introduction of its groundbreaking 7G100-series GPUs, developed under the novel TrueGPU Tiantu architecture. Crafted domestically and aimed at delivering performance on par with Nvidia’s RTX 4060, these GPUs boast impressive features like 24 TFLOP/s compute power, advanced multitasking capabilities, NRSS upscaling, and SR-IOV support, targeting both gaming and AI applications.

This unveiling marks a significant milestone for Lisuan Technology, as it’s the first time a Chinese company has offered a completely self-designed GPU, from the instruction set to the compute core. The innovation doesn’t stop there: the hardware incorporates intelligent multitasking with the ability to manage up to 48 concurrent tasks, enhancing efficiency with an out-of-order triangle engine that boosts raster performance by up to 50%. The inclusion of a block-based matrix layout and NRSS upscaling demonstrates their ambition to rival existing technologies like DLSS and FSR.

Lisuan plans to launch two distinct versions of these GPUs, both produced using TSMC’s advanced 6 nm process. The consumer-focused 7G106 features 12 GB of GDDR6 memory on a 192-bit bus, offering 24 TFLOP/s (FP32) compute performance. It’s designed with a power-efficient single 8-pin connector, suggesting a 225W power draw. Meanwhile, the 7G105 is tailored for professional and AI use, boasting 24 GB of ECC memory and additional support for 8K AV1/HEVC codecs.

Early performance metrics are hopeful, with the 7G106 achieving a 3DMark Fire Strike score of 26,800 and matching the capabilities of Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4060. It also excels in Geekbench 6 OpenCL tests, surpassing the RTX 4060 by approximately 10%. Demonstrations of games like Black Myth: Wukong and Shadow of the Tomb Raider show these GPUs maintaining a smooth 70–80 fps on high 4K settings.

With sampling expected in August 2025 and mass production planned for September, Lisuan Technology is poised to make a significant impact. If these GPUs continue to perform as promised, they could offer formidable competition to industry giants like AMD and Nvidia in both the gaming and AI sectors.
