Garmin has rolled out another exciting beta update for its popular smartwatches, including the Fenix 7 series, Epix, Enduro 2, Quatix 7, and MARQ Gen 2. Beta version 23.06 follows closely on the heels of the initial 23.xx testing cycle update, which gave a fresh look to the Breathing Variations page and updated the Recent Stress widget.
This latest update addresses a couple of critical issues. It fixes a bug on the Battery Notification Settings page that was causing crashes, a problem many users highlighted in forums. Additionally, it resolves an issue with loading courses, ensuring smoother functionality.
However, a new glitch has emerged, affecting users who prefer Polish, German, and Russian languages. Some of these devices are now displaying features in English. The Garmin team has yet to comment on this language hiccup or provide a timeline for a fix.
Interestingly, version 23.05 introduced a welcomed feature: the Device Passcode. This tool, long requested by users, was previously available on other models but its addition to these devices wasn’t mentioned in the change log.
For those participating in Garmin’s Beta program, beta version 23.06 is ready for download. Simply navigate through Menu > System > Software Update > Check For Updates to install it. There’s still no word on when the stable release, including the Device Passcode feature, will be available to all Fenix 7 users.
