Casio has officially brought its newest G-Shock collaboration with Bamford London to the US, and it’s now available to buy directly through Casio’s official US store for $280. Built on the popular GM-5600 platform, this release keeps the classic square G-Shock identity while adding a more premium edge that fans of metal-accent models tend to prefer.
At the heart of the design is the GM-5600’s metal bezel construction, which sets it apart from the more common resin-only square models. Casio pairs a black ion-plated stainless steel bezel with a resin case, giving the watch a sturdier, more substantial feel on the wrist without changing the familiar proportions. The case measures 49.6 × 43.2 × 12.9mm and weighs 73 grams, so it stays true to the wearable, everyday-friendly sizing the 5600 line is known for—just with a bit more heft.
Visually, the collaboration leans into Bamford’s signature black-and-blue look. Blue accents frame key dial text and the display border, while the watch uses a negative LCD for a stealthier, high-contrast appearance. The most immediately noticeable collaboration cue is on the strap: bold “Bamford” lettering printed in blue. Flip the watch over and you’ll also find Bamford branding engraved on the caseback, reinforcing that this is a special-edition partnership rather than a standard colorway.
In terms of features, it sticks closely to what buyers expect from a GM-5600. You get shock resistance and 200-meter water resistance, along with practical daily tools like a 1/100-second stopwatch, countdown timer with auto-repeat, multi-function alarm, hourly time signal, and a full auto-calendar that runs through the year 2099. For low-light visibility, Casio includes its Super Illuminator white LED backlight with afterglow. Power comes from a CR2016 battery rated for about five years, making it a low-maintenance option for anyone who wants a reliable grab-and-go digital watch.
Casio lists the band as a bio-based resin strap designed to fit wrists from 145mm to 215mm. Up front, the watch uses mineral glass rather than sapphire, matching what’s typical for this family of G-Shock squares. US orders ship in special Bamford-branded packaging, which adds to the collector appeal.
While it isn’t marketed as a numbered limited edition, stock appears to be more tightly managed than standard GM-5600 releases. That often means availability may come in smaller waves, especially if demand from G-Shock collectors and Bamford fans stays strong.
