Casio Unveils New Edifice Ana-Digital Lineup Featuring a 10-Year Battery Life

Casio is expanding its popular Edifice lineup with three freshly unveiled ana-digital watches under the new ERA-130D series. Right now, these models are showing up on Casio’s Thailand website, but a wider international release looks likely based on how Edifice launches typically roll out.

Designed with clear motorsport inspiration, the ERA-130D leans into a cockpit-style aesthetic that feels like a throwback to classic Casio designs. The dial is intentionally busy in the best way, mixing analog hands with cutout windows that reveal the LCD display underneath. At launch, buyers can choose from three color options: the ERA-130D-2A in blue, the ERA-130D-1A in a silver-toned look, and the ERA-130D-3A featuring a dark green bezel.

This is not a small watch. The case measures 50.6 × 46.3 × 14.4 mm and uses stainless steel and aluminum, bringing total weight to about 150 grams. It’s firmly in tool-watch territory, built to look and feel substantial on the wrist.

Where the ERA-130D really stands out, though, is practicality. Casio rates it for 100 meters of water resistance, and it comes with a mineral crystal plus Neobrite lume for improved visibility. The headline feature is the battery: a CR2025 rated for approximately 10 years. For anyone who likes the look of ana-digital watches but hates frequent battery swaps, that decade-long battery life is a major win.

On the features side, Casio checks the boxes Edifice fans usually want. You’re getting world time with 31 time zones across 48 cities, a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer, an hourly signal, and a full auto-calendar that runs all the way to 2099. There’s also a hand-shift function, meaning the analog hands can move aside when needed so the digital display is easier to read.

One interesting design note: there isn’t a dedicated central seconds hand. Instead, seconds are displayed through a subdial positioned at the bottom-right, keeping the main analog layout cleaner while still providing constant time tracking.

In Thailand, the Casio Edifice ERA-130D is listed at ฿7,400, which works out to around $228. Early indications suggest these new models could begin shipping within the next month or two, making this a series to watch if you’ve been waiting for a rugged, feature-packed Edifice with long battery life and a retro cockpit vibe.
