Casio Edifice EFK-200 Automatic Watches Go on Sale in China With Miyota Movement and Sapphire Crystal
Casio’s latest Edifice EFK-200 Automatic series has now reached retail in China, giving watch fans their first chance to buy the brand’s newest mechanical Edifice models. The lineup includes five variants, with prices ranging from 2,490 yuan to 3,990 yuan, depending on the finish and materials.
The new Casio Edifice EFK-200 collection marks another step in the company’s growing interest in automatic watches. After the strong reception of its first mechanical Edifice model in 2024, Casio appears to be expanding the formula with more color choices, upgraded styling, and a standout motorsport-inspired edition.
The Chinese market currently lists five models in the EFK-200 Automatic range. The EFK-200D-1A, EFK-200D-2A, and EFK-200D-4A are priced at 2,490 yuan, which is roughly $367. These models offer the more accessible entry point into the collection and come with stainless steel bracelets and textured dials.
For buyers looking for a more premium look, the EFK-200DG-5A features a gold-toned design and is priced at 3,390 yuan, or around $500. Sitting at the top of the range is the EFK-200XPB-1A, a Toyota Racing collaboration model priced at 3,990 yuan, approximately $589.
All five Casio Edifice EFK-200 Automatic watches are powered by the Miyota 8215 automatic movement, identified by Casio as Module 5766. This movement offers a 42-hour power reserve, uses 21 jewels, and is rated for accuracy of -20 to +40 seconds per day. It is a well-known automatic caliber often chosen for its reliability and accessible maintenance.
The case dimensions are 43.6 x 38 x 11.9 mm, giving the watches a modern yet wearable profile. Each model also uses sapphire crystal on the front, an important upgrade for scratch resistance and long-term durability. On the back, Casio has added a transparent mineral crystal caseback, allowing owners to view the mechanical movement inside.
The standard EFK-200 models come in black, blue, red, and gold dial options. These versions use gradient-textured dials, polished and brushed stainless steel styling, and metal bracelets that keep the look close to the sporty yet refined identity of the Edifice range.
The EFK-200XPB-1A stands apart from the rest of the collection. Created through Casio’s Toyota Racing partnership, this model features a forged carbon fiber dial and case, giving it a more technical and motorsport-focused appearance. It also includes rose gold baton indexes and a rubber strap, which helps reduce weight compared with the stainless steel bracelet versions.
With its combination of automatic movement, sapphire crystal, visible caseback, and varied styling, the Casio Edifice EFK-200 series is positioned as an appealing option for buyers who want a mechanical sports watch without moving into luxury pricing. The Toyota Racing edition adds extra collector interest, especially for fans of motorsport-inspired watches.
For now, the Casio Edifice EFK-200 Automatic watches are available in China, while international pricing and global release details have not yet been confirmed. Given the popularity of Casio’s earlier mechanical Edifice models, wider availability could attract strong interest from watch enthusiasts looking for an affordable automatic watch from a familiar and trusted brand.
