Casio Edifice EFV-160D Debuts with Striking Crystal-Textured Dials

Casio Edifice EFV-160D Leaked in Deep Red and Ice Blue With Crystal-Like Dials

Casio appears to be preparing two fresh additions to its Edifice EFV-160D watch lineup, and the new models could be some of the most eye-catching versions of the series yet. According to a recent leak, the upcoming Casio Edifice EFV-160D-4A and EFV-160D-2B are expected to arrive in June 2026, bringing bold new dial colors and a refined crystalline texture to the affordable Edifice range.

The two new variants are said to include a deep red model, listed as the EFV-160D-4A, and an ice blue version, listed as the EFV-160D-2B. Both watches are expected to be priced in the budget-friendly range of around $120 to $140, making them attractive options for buyers looking for a stylish stainless steel quartz watch without spending heavily.

What makes these leaked Casio Edifice watches stand out is the dial finish. Unlike earlier EFV-160D models that used a more geometric Clous de Paris-style raised pyramid pattern, the new red and ice blue versions reportedly feature a softer surface effect. The texture has been described as looking like frozen frost or tightly packed fine crystals, giving the dial a more delicate, shimmering appearance.

This change could help the EFV-160D lineup appeal to buyers who want something dressier and more visually dynamic while still keeping the clean, sporty character associated with the Edifice collection. The ice blue model may be especially appealing to fans of bright, modern dial colors, while the deep red version offers a richer and more distinctive alternative to the usual black, blue, and green options.

The core specifications are expected to remain the same as the existing EFV-160D models. That means both new watches should use the Casio 5340 quartz movement inside a stainless steel case. The case measures 40 mm across, with overall dimensions of 47.5 × 40 × 10 mm, making it a practical size for everyday wear.

The watches are also expected to include a slightly domed mineral crystal, a date window positioned at 3 o’clock, a traditional three-hand layout, and Neobrite luminous coating on the hands and hour markers. Water resistance is rated at 100 meters, which makes the EFV-160D suitable for daily use, splashes, rain, and light swimming. Battery life is listed at approximately three years.

The curved mineral glass is not just a styling detail. Casio has used this design to improve legibility, giving the watch face a slightly more premium look while keeping the display easy to read. Combined with the simple three-hand layout, the EFV-160D keeps the practical, motorsport-inspired identity that has long been part of the Edifice series.

If the leak proves accurate, the EFV-160D-4A and EFV-160D-2B will expand one of Casio’s more active entry-level Edifice platforms. The lineup already includes earlier black, blue, and green versions, but these new crystalline dial models could give the series a more fashionable edge.

Casio has not yet made an official announcement, and it remains unclear which regions will receive the new EFV-160D red and ice blue models first. A broader global release has also not been confirmed. Still, with their expected affordable pricing, stainless steel construction, quartz reliability, and distinctive dial textures, these upcoming Casio Edifice watches could become popular choices for collectors and casual buyers alike.
