Casio Unveils Exclusive G-Shock Collaboration with Hanshin Tigers

Casio has unveiled an exciting new addition to its G-Shock lineup with the release of the limited edition G-Shock x Hanshin Tigers 90th Anniversary watch in Japan. This special timepiece is crafted to celebrate the 90-year legacy of the renowned Japanese baseball team. It’s a true collector’s item, with unique design elements and impressive features.

The watch belongs to the DW-6900X series, boasting a striking black resin casing accented with gold and beige tones. The strap showcases a bold black and gold tiger print, perfectly complimented by the Tigers logo engraved on the stainless steel caseback.

Beyond its aesthetic appeal, this watch is built for resilience. It offers shock resistance and water resistance up to 20 ATM, making it perfect for the adventurous and sports enthusiasts alike. The digital display not only tells the time but also features a Triple Graph for the 1/100th second stopwatch and seconds display. Additional functionalities include a countdown timer, alarm, fully automatic calendar, and a large button-activated LED backlight for easy viewing in low light conditions.

What sets this model apart is its extended battery life of up to seven years, a notable improvement over the usual two to five years seen in other models of the DW-6900 series. Although its exact size isn’t specified, it is likely similar to the DW6900-1V, measuring approximately 53.2 x 50.0 x 18.7 mm and weighing around 67 grams. The timepiece also comes packaged in a collectible tin with bespoke packaging, making it an excellent gift for fans.

In Japan, the G-Shock x Hanshin Tigers 90th Anniversary watch is expected to retail for around 20,900 yen, which is approximately $145. It’s available through the Hanshin Tigers’ official store, although it’s unclear if it will be sold on Casio’s online platform or internationally. As a limited edition release, details on the number of units available remain unknown, adding to its exclusivity and allure for collectors.
